Only reason I can think of is that you need to be logged into a twitter account on the device and/or browser you're trying to watch the videos on. I get prompted to log in if I'm watching on a different device, but after that it's fine.
I suspect it might be because you are not in the UK, like Kiwi. I’m not on Twitter, but can view these posts and links to Twitter with a couple of clicks. If you have a VPN set it to a UK server and see if that makes a difference.
I had the same problem on my old laptop, but not on the new one I recently bought. Not much help, I know.
...and the answer was that I have recently changed computer and the new one would only play clips on Crome.
