When you have people downplaying assault/harassment victims so easy. Then people going on about how people get offended over everything these days. It deserves to be called out, sadly I thought this forum was better

If I had to pick five offensive-minded players at this WC who I didn't know much/anything about before hand, but who have impressed me the most, I think he would be one of them.

But at the same time, I rarely like using international tournaments as a stand-alone scouting recommendation.

God your writing style is horrible and it's so hard to reply to you because your train of thought is all over the place, but I will do my best:

• You absolutely did get touchy about being generalised and I don't know how you could read your original comment and think you weren't.
• It's less a case of them being second class citizens, as the fact that there were no opportunities to have their own home or build their own careers. Just because there are a few isolated cases of women being succesful, you will find that they come from a privileged background, ie - Thatcher.
  
• The difference between today and back then, is that women are now reporting crimes at a higher rate than before. Both of my Grandmothers were abused horribly and so was an old lady that I work closely with, it was very normal. None of them went to the police, it doesn't mean it didn't happen though. The population is also a lot higher now than it was 40 odd years ago, so another reason why it seems more common. Anyone with an ounce of critical thought would realise this.
  
• You think males are more often victims of sexual assault and domestic abuse than women are? Jesus christ you really are something else. Give me one piece of evidence for that claim, I'm genuinely amazed you think thats the case.
  
• My point was that women are LESS downtrodden in this day and age and finally have the means to stand up for themselves and be independent. So thank you for confirming my point, buddy.

Please learn how to type and structure sentences if you're going to reply to me, and the random use of bold lettering is weird. Your passage was one of the more challenging reads I've ever seen. It's a bit early to be on the booze.

Says more about you than him. You come across as rather aggressive, and picking up on 'his writing style' is actually very rude. Learn to communicate if you want to debate.

 

It is something that I take personally, because both of my Grandmothers had an awful time with their respective husbands and it breaks my heart to know that they went through that.

Beddy was writing like a 5 year old and it's very hard to reply to him properly when he makes very little sense.

It's not a debate either, and I'm not going to be nice to someone who thinks that women had it easier back in the 60/70's than they do today because that's a very big problem in our society.

 

Are you still trying to justify the way you have spoke to him, because you are still coming across as rather insulting.

Agreed 100%. For what it’s worth my view is that this is absolutely a discussion that needs to be had as clearly some on here need their views challenging, but not on this thread!
