I bet if you analysed all the penalties taken at this WC again on VAR or whatever , I’d be willing to bet a **** load of money that over 90% of the time the GK had moved forward off his line before the ball was kicked, whether the PK was scored or missed. I mean there’s 2 officials stood there watching the penalty being taken , you don’t have to be hawk eye to spot it do you, but yet they never do anything about it . The same with these stop/start run ups , I thought they were banned aswell now but everyone still does them.
Talk about lack of self awareness....the Colombian manager is complaining about England antics during the match. Saying we needed to stay on our feet and not keep diving. Also suggests that he hopes we have a referee who will be harder on us during the Sweden game. Southgate replied that he was proud of the behaviour of his team....though adds he hopes we are a bit smarter now...which does suggest that our players have been told to go down easier if fouled. However, why shouldn't you go down if you are wearing an opposition player as an overcoat. In fact, I'm pretty sure that we could have gone down a lot more than we did. Colombia were dreadful.

Jamie Vardy didn't take a penalty yesterday because he had a groin strain. Has now had an injection and is a major doubt for the quarter final. Remember Kane was holding his back during last night's game.
Next time put glasses when you watch. When the ball is kicked he steps one meter out with his right foot. But anyway, that was not the only pen in the shootout, and I was not talking about only the last one.

Well that was a nice relaxing evenings entertainment......never a doubt I managed to watch it all but the penalties were from behind a cushion. Peeping round the corner of a cushion is strangely less stressful! Now we've got to go through it all again on Saturday. Has anyone got any Diazepam?
