TBF Beef, how many times last year did we play the two and see anything good from them both? I can't really remember any.. Wigan in the cup maybe...?

Edit, I'm actually not sure what I'm saying, we def would be improved with another wide player. Ideally one who can play with the other wide players. That was it.

Scored against us in March, in the West Ham 3-0 defeat.

Inter have signed about 1000 players this summer as well so will probably be looking to off load a few. They should be an interesting side to watch next year, signed some very good players.

I wonder if they realise that is not Joao Mario in the picture

    Proper ****ing freezing that day.

No wonder northerners all think they're hard. Imagine watching football in those conditions every week.

Yep, the "pacy CB" is a myth anyway.

Bobby Moore was as slow as an old cart horse.

Sure, but from what I hear this guy is Mertesacker slow. Still, old Per made a pretty good career from it, so I’m not too worried

Was watching a conversation on Sky (talking about female supporters) and they once again used the expression 'A Wednesday night in Stoke'....though I always thought it was a Tuesday night :) What must it be like to constantly hear your town referred to as the nadir of comfort. <laugh>

My ex missus is from Stoke, god bless her, so this may be colouring my judgement, but there is simply no night of the week that is ever going to make Stoke look appealing.

I have been to Stoke once, so therefore consider myself an expert on the region. The whole place is like walking around Jeremy Kyle's green room

The only other good things to come out of Stoke are R J Mitchell and the A52 'tis said.

Reginald Michell, designer of the Spitfire?

That was the historic link between me and the ex - Spitfires, designed by a chap from Stoke, engines built in Crewe (where her brother worked), planes assembled in Soton.

Surprised the ****ing things could fly at all <laugh>

Lived in Portswood for most of his life (I used to walk past his old house every day).

Stanley Matthews and er...Garth Crooks and Robbie Williams, ok, fair enough...<laugh>

Bobby Moore, not a CB?....only one of the greatest of all time Beddy!, but they did call it a Centre Half then though.
