I reckon this next two days will tell a lot.

We don't need to do much BUT chelsea and arsenal need to do a lot, in one case the billionaire could either ruin his team or put it back where it needs to be at the top.... in the other case about 4 players are required and there's not much left to pick from!

City could buy someone just because.....

every real madrid reserve will be linked....

If we get nobody (but coates) we still have january to do some business in... 4th looks on and in the end that will be an improvement

Yossi Benayoun is NOT joining Liverpool, according to the Liverpool daily post, Liverpool have rejected Chelseas offer of Yossi and £7 million in cash for Raul Mereiles. However Liverpool are apparently waiting on Chelsea to come back with a new offer.

I'd take Sturridge and cash if I was Kenny, Meireles is more likely than not to be on the bench with the money that's been laid out for Adam and Henderson and the imminent return of Gerrard. Sturridge would solve our back-up striker problems as well as being a young promising English player

How did you get on with the hurricane Hoke? I'm not sure if you got it where you are, but you're obviously in one piece.

Well at one point it was forecast to come straight at us. In the end though turned out to be a complete non-event. Part of the state got a little rain- but where I am we ended up getting completely bypassed.
As bad as hurricanes and tropical storms are- we kinda need the rain they bring (if you're not in the main path) - we get a significant amount of rain from the outer storms and have been drought like the last several years we haven't been getting them.

    S. Carolina is in a unique little spot- hurricanes almost always go to the North or to the South- we almost never get a direct hit- we get the benefits of the heavy rains without the flooding and the other devastation the storms bring. (not that I wish hurricanes and the destruction that they bring on others just so we can get rain... wouldn't wish them on anybody).

Whereas if Ngog goes today we will have precisely "0" backup strikers!

Can see the sense in both Chelsea and Liverpool agreeing on Meirles plus money for Sturridge.Liverpool then have a quality proven young English 3rd striker and Chelsea have a quality midfielder.

and sturridge could play on the right hand side, left hand side, in the hole. I would take 8 mil plus sturridge, win win for both I feel.

:D I even read that in Micks voice

Am I the only one who doesn't want Raul to go to the chavs? I like Sturridge and would be happier with him than Beni but with Aquaman departed I defo think Meireles has a big part to play over a long hard season <ok>

    Agree with you Billy.

I don't want to see Raul go and i'm hoping Chelsea drop their interest in him and we keep him. Still think he has got a massive part to play this season!

Well what would be even worse is if we end up with Yossi in exchange!!KD and DC would seriously want to pull out a cracking striker for the money we get off Chelsea as well as the Ngog money..all this to be done in a few hours???
Why on earth would we sell a 28 year old player of the season to a rival club for a 31 year old winger it surely goes against the whole FSG/Comolli policy...

I understand Kenny may feel he can live without him with Stevie G close to a comeback but personally I think it pushes the other players in midfield to play better knowing there's a player like Meireles waiting to take their place if their performance levels drop.

If we do sell then we should screw them again for as much cash as possible. I also wonder if this is all just smoke and mirrors to push Spurs on the Modric deal...who knows eh.
