It’s coming home, it’s coming home, it’s coming! FOOTBALL’S COMING HOME! Come. On. England. Make us dream!
I had no hopes for England, after all I've watched previous tournaments, but you lot are starting to make me nervous which is weird because I'm not convinced we will get past tonight if James Rodriguez plays. Do we know if he's fit yet? I'm hoping that I will be surprised and instead of the usual safety first England, I will see a new dynamic attacking team full of confidence.
Good teams have gone out and am preparing myself for disappointment with a protective shell. Of course we can win, but there is way too much positivity going around.
Without repeating my catchphrase, I am getting nervous as I am beginning to believe we can do something special. Before the tournament I gave us no chance, but I really like Southgate and all he says. I'm hoping now, and it is killing me
I’ve lived through too any biennial tournaments to have anything other than cautious optimism for this game. I’ll be up at 6am for the kick off though and I’ll be wearing my lucky pyjamas. After that it’s up to the players. Come on England! Do it!
6 hours, 10 mins to go to kick off. BUZZING!!!!! Struggling to work. We are going to do this. We really are. It is coming home, football is coming home.
