Even then we scraped in. Honestly can’t remember a simple group though it probably wasn’t long ago.

People are reading too much into it and there's a panic that the bubble will burst. At the end of the day I still don't see you winning it whereas Croatia or Belgium could pull it off, reason being you lot will panic once you get a good team and go all gung ho and get caught out. If you can keep calm heads and be a hard side to beat you pull off a shock but that isn't going to happen once you get Spain or Brazil, there will be a call to arms and John Stones will be playing as a second striker.

Even if we lose to Colombia I’d disagree tbh, because if they beat us we’d have been trousered by Brazil anyway!

What we’ve done is given ourselves the best chance we’ve had of getting to a WC SF in living memory. If we’d have been offered having to beat Colombia and then either Switzerland or Sweden to make it to the last 4 before the competition started we’d have snatched it.

Totally agree. Columbia is a massive game, far bigger than this one.

Completely outplayed by Germany as I recall, despite the disallowed Lampard goal.

We found that out by playing them in this game. A dead rubber with no injury risk to top players, Kane etc.

    Definitely Vardy.

And Leicester have been the team of the tournament so far.

Leicester’s stadium has been the stadium of the tournament so far and their proposed training ground has been the proposed training ground of the tournament so far.

As Southgate probably already knew (as we now do) ,
there is a strongest starting XI, and most of the team
    yesterday ain't part of it.

He has been superb, he needs to elbow Neymar out of the way for free kicks.

Assuming both get through, Brazil vs Belgium could be the game of the tournament.

Danny Rose looked like he couldn’t be bothered. Maybe he should take the rest of the World Cup off.
