    How could Chelsea bring that keeper in from Genk and loan him straight to Atletico Madrid then??

    They also bought Smertin a few years ago then loaned him straight to Pompey!!

    I *think* he could have gone straight out on loan IF he hadn't have appeared for chelski. You may only appear for two club teams in a year, Stoke would be his third. Chelsea have ****ed up by giving him a runout basically. Could Sturridge suddenly be unexpectedly available...

    The keeper from Genk on left 2 weeks ago though. I think it might be because Lukaku has played for both Anderlecht and Chelsea already this season. You can't play for a third side in he same season.

    They did the same with Rajković too, but I think that was down to not gaining a work permit, which is sad because he was class for his age.

    Hate Stoke, they play ****e football and gain points through mistakes as opposed to good play - to their credit they force the mistakes but I just don't like it!

    Yeah I get this .. but they've done what they needed to do to stay in the Prem unlike West Ham for example .. which is allowing them to progress and evolve year on year (albeit slightly slower than Man City for example :) ) .. as said, I have a lot of time for what they've achieved given their club stature, just one persons humble opinion <ok>

    I don't know, my first thought is, if you're going to buy a player from another club, you should keep him in your side, rather than just send him on right away (and prove you're just a rich club that can hoard prospects). I know that's the business of football these days, but maybe its just a rule out of principle?

    The clue is in your questions. They're teams outside of the EPL.

    As someone has already stated, within the EPL, you can only appear for a certain number of teams.
