In the 19.40 at Windsor, the obvious bet seems to be the lightly raced improver Buffer Zone; but I can't understand why Music Society is 8/1 outsider but 1. Last time out he was beaten 6½L by Society Power over 7f (in a fast time) weakening in the last fur. Society Power was then second to Expert Eye at Ascot the other day. That sounds pretty decent form for a Class 3 race. That was the only thing stopping me from a large bet (in the comp) on the fav at 11/10

Balzac Turgot out again this evening at Kilbeggan and some 6/1 flying about this morning. Rachel Blackmore got a lovely tune out of him on chase debut. More on his plate with the Mullins runner today but worth a dabble at that price.

Too big a price to leave alone for a yard that does ok with inexperienced horses.

The favourite was very impressive at the track on his seasonal debut Ron. Beat a horse that had been well punted to turn him over, comfortably.

The other one that catches my eye is Martyn Meade's Frankel colt in the last. RISE HALL. The ones that have form dont look out of the ordinary and if there is an 80 capable newcomer in the field you would think it would win.

I backed Monarch Maid this morning at 7s - moved promisingly into 5s now (also backed Juneau in the 17:00 - again at 7s but it's starting to drift).

MORE THAN LUCK is 66/1 here and running off a lower mark than he has won off this year!!!! Doesnt look to be the yards first string but that price is huge!

What a joke. Ends up 5/1 second fav and finishes last. And the fav goes odds on and is out of the first 2. Rank outsider finished second
