  1. Does anyone hope that Pardew doesn't start him straight away as soon as he claims he's fit?

I personally think if he's back by October, that he should make some 15-20 minute impact sub appearances before starting a game again.

I don't think he should be rushed back, or else we could end up with the same thing happening to him again and again.

I certainly don't think his first game back should be Wolves away on October 1st. Those dirty twats will flatten him first chance they get.

Perhaps he could make cameos vs Spurs on the 15th October, Wigan on the 22nd October, Stoke on the 31st, and then make his first start vs Everton at home on the 5th of November?

Anyone else agree that we need to pick his games carefully whilst he's recovering and getting back up to speed?

I agree with you Tash, no point in playing him until he is 100%. We have to personel to cope without him as has been shown over the last 3 games. We need to make sure he's 100% right so he can come in and make that class difference straight away rather than picking up niggly injuries again!!

Supposed to be back mid-September from the accounts I've read so give him a few games to get back to fitness and bolster his confidence and then start him.

    Tash, mate.

Erm, do you rate your own threads with stars? lol

Anyway. I totally agree that he shouldnt be rushed back. And I dont think Pardew will be stupid enough to rush him back straight away. As that is just asking for trouble.

i reckon he'll be eased in gently. look at marveaux, he's played a few games now but he's still yet to make it on to the pitch for a proper PL game. they want to make sure he's right and we have a bit of depth in the midfield department to over for this

Hopefully will be eased in. Do we use him centrally or on the right though?

  13. I'd use him as a CAM behind Best or Ba. He's not a winger IMO, the same as Marveaux. Neither players are wingers, they're players that will dribble up and down the pitch, slot players through and have a shot.

I thought he was penciled in for the QPR game, defo needs to be eased in. As said above we have a very healthy midfield which is pretty versitile and can be changed around.
