Good luck tonight Chelsea with the nag, maybe this time it gets the nose in front. Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk
I saw La Pelosa winning, quite comfortably, at Kempton last month; the form has been backed up, so may be tempted in that Ascot opener. Hoping it definitely is an Appleby/Buick celebration though with Poetic Charm in the 5.00. Good Luck all who play today.
No surprise that the Ascot Derby is dominated by Ballydoyle also-rans from elsewhere. Moore has selected Delano Roosevelt, which in itself is good grounds to reject that one! Rostropovich never went a yard at Chantilly and there is no reason to see the extra two furlongs as the key to success here other than the stable’s Hunting Horn winning yesterday. Giuseppe Garibaldi is progressing the right way and may have the improvement necessary to compete. Similarly, Raa Atoll needs to step up to feature; and he has already accounted for The Queen’s runner Elector. There has to be a question about Wells Farhh Go on quick ground, which leads me to OLD PERSIAN, winner of a three-runner affair last time and stepping up in class and distance today. The Commonwealth Cup looks like another pin-sticking job and I am going to go with Richard Fahey’s SANDS OF MALI to confirm Haydock running with Invincible Army, Emblazoned, Actress, Heartache and Unfortunately. In his Sporting Life column, Fahey considers his colt to be a Group 1 performer – we will see today. In the Coronation Stakes, the bookies have clearly decided that Billesdon Brook’s 1000 Guineas win was a fluke (they may be wrong), so the Ballydoyle filly and the Irish 1000 Guineas winner head the market. Unbeaten Teppal won the Pouliches but that does not look like a vintage renewal. I cannot see any reason to back Clemmie, who did nothing at The Curragh, to reverse running with ALPHA CENTAURI, who will clearly be at home on the quick ground and could prove better than the Newmarket Classic winner. It is probably too much to ask of Veracious to win this first time up and the one of most interest of the rest is Threading, who slammed Dance Diva at York last time but seems to fluff her lines in the big ones. I like Thundering Blue in the last but his style of racing (held up in rear, brought late) will make it very difficult here in a large field, so in the competition I am siding with bottom-weight course and distance winner Count Calabash to give Eve Johnson Houghton a second winner of the week.
Nice one! Erm, has Ryan been costing you a few Bitcoins lately? He didn't do too badly yesterday, but poor form up till then?
No, I was merely being sarcastic about his inability to pick the right one when Ballydoyle have multiple runners in a race. I do not bet on jockey bookings; and I have no Bitcoins.
the Commonwealth Cup looks interesting today. the experience of SIOUX NATION or the potential of Equilateral. I am going for the former but it is a close call. I also think there are some cracking each way bets in this race - CARDSHARP, HEARTACHE and ROUSSELL could all run very big races. Coronation Cup - Alpha Centauri looks the one to beat but I have always liked THREADING and so will stick with her today. Again a question of heart ruling the head in the last. DASH OF SPICE was so impressive on Derby Day that I have to go with him again, despite the big increase in the weights!
Newlands in the last for another under the radar but very capable trainer , 50/1 , been running in better races in the middle east , o murphy on board .
That was poor from Dettori on Raa Atoll, he was on the best stayer in the race and he waits for Buick to pin him on the rail, should have got going a lot sooner off that easy lead, maybe if hed rode the horse before he would have known but Rab Havlin has been on it every time.
Teppal is 4th choice at 15/2 but I think shes the best filly in the race and open to the most progress.
Woooaaaahhhh, what a horse she is, track record gone.... About the best performance I’ve seen this week
Of my three actual bets at Royal Ascot today, I have napped the one that lost in the competition... No need to consult the resident experts about the NH Flat race at Market Rasen. My mate knows somebody connected with the owner of this and it will be going close at the first time of asking: Market Rasen 5:10 – BOBBA TEE Given the price, I have had a bit on each way to hopefully pay July’s beer money!
RUK blowing smoke up Spencers arse for the ride on Agrotera, give over boys the filly has about a stone in hand ffs
Well that turned out to be a right donkey, beaten 30 lengths fourth, never a factor. I told my mate the jockey should just keep going into Market Rasen town centre to see if he could find a French restaurant or a glue factory.
Shaped quite nicely and made some headway before weakening. Absolutely ridiculous and frankly offensive comment.
Christ i can't wait until my ownership ends end of the month sorry all, wonder what excuse will be this time, probably didn't like the course
