Ironically, considering it's on of the most hardline fudamentalist countries, the Saudies were given permission to postpone it. But I concur with the other posters, great tournament, so far no trouble (unsurprising, I wouldn't want to **** with the Russian authorities). Amazing atmosphere at the matches and, even though I find patriotism silly, I'm enjoyoing the anthems, players showing their pride at being there.
Yes, although, second group games are edgy, expected. The Russians are looking after the journos v well, who are reporting the tournament positively. Part of the PR game and fair enough.
