Anyone notice the blob of spit flying out of Harry Kanne`s gob when he was singing the national anthem ? Frankly I expect better of the England captain than to insult Her Majesty in such a disgusting way. Lock him in the tower for treason, I say!
Feels like there's a bit of a better, more relaxed and 'let's enjoy this' atmosphere surrounding this World Cup from England fans. No one expects anything and people are just enjoying what they can. It's refreshing!
Yes. I'm not even sure Bertrand will be a saints player come August, but he's at his peak age wise, and he might not get another go. Feel for him. Should of gone.
Thinking about refereeing - I think I mentioned earlier I’m reading Howard Webb’s autobiography (it’s very good). Turns out Graham Poll is a Grade-A bellend. Who knew...

Thoughts on the below... what side of the argument are you on? It's about the leaked teamsheet from training on Wednesday. Southgate and Walker have called on the press to be more responsible and supportive to the team.
Taking away from the specifics of this incident and I do feel the press should be more supportive. Doubt many countries are as bad in this regard, well not those with low realistic targets anyway. Saying that, there seems to have been a lot of positive press in the build up to this tournament and so far during. Won't hold my breath though as it's likely the typical attitude of 'build them up to knock them down' that we're seeing. As to this specific incident I think Southgate is bang on to say it how it is and call them out. I'd have loved him to go further even and state that it was a mistake but yeah that is the team and so what?
Have to say although I'm not a fan of him as a player I was really impressed with Walkers responses to the questions in the presser. Particularly when asked if he thought was the medias job to get behind and support the team: "I think it's the nations job to support the team" ****ing spot on Kyle, and something which sadly doesn't happen now imo.
