How many times did Jordan look forward but have no pass on so he popped it sideways/back? There was at least 4 times he bolloxed people in front of him for no movement. He can't do right for doing wrong. PJ was giving him stick, calling him 'Hollywood Henderson' and saying he's trying to be Stevie G with 40 yard passes and the saying he never passes forward. Jordan had a quietly effective game and showed good leadership from the midfield, more than we got from Kane..

You mean like the pass for Lingard in first half... or the one he played through for trippier which was in behind the defence which led to his volley chance.

It would be a lot easier to pass forward if he had options, the 4 in front of him were so bad, no one really showing for the ball and on odd occasion they did get it, just gave t away again.

Sterling has to be dropped. I would start Rashford.

Lingard missed chances but he played well, more than can be said for Alli who has been mediocre all season.

I've noticed this a lot this past season. The same people who criticise him for trying forward passes also criticise him for not trying them.
Makes you wonder why managers pick him whenever he's available when all the geniuses on here can see he's rubbish.

Plenty of times he could knock it into feet. A ball Over the top looks good, but getting up the pitch when they are camped in is better.

Hollywood Henderson. I doubt that very much. He may have pinged a few over the top for early runners, but looked as confused as a fat bird at a salad bar when he couldn’t hit it long. The whole mf were poor.

    Proper england team

    Pickford
    walker stones cahill rose
    Henderson dier alli
    Sterling kane vardy

    england last night

    Pickford
    trippier walker stones maguire young
    Henderson
    Sterling lingard.......Alli .Kane.......................................................

No width as young is right footed and turn back all the time. one cross which they defended shockingly.

5 at the back.... why.. thats a waste of a player. esp v dross like tunisia and panama.

Why so many players who all want to drift right? no vardy who would have run the legs off these no hopers and stuck on rashford later but he also hung round in the middle.

Loftus cheek did more than sterling did the game in 15mins

    what midfield?

the two wingers playing up front or alli who thinks he is no 10 or kane?

We had no mdifield and the other 4 didn't bother running.

I thought Loftus-Cheek was a better impact than Rashford

If that's what you want to think, least it's just opinion rather than a incorrect statement <ok>

But yet Hollywood found them with space behind early doors. It took RLC to actually runnbetween the lines, why couldn’t Jordan....but Maguire tried!

I thought both did more than sterling alli and Lingard put together. No complaints if they both started v Panama. He’ll prob go with same team though I’d inagine.

Also Rose has to play instead of Young, young can’t defend, was one moment when he took 3 steps inside to mark no one and let the guy just run past him down the line <doh> against better teams they’ll just walk past him

So when players ran in behind Henderson found them but when they stopped making those runs in behind, Henderson is to blame for not being able to play that same pass. Makes perfect sense.
