Wondering if the Lichaj deal has hit problems, just seen that Forest have lost out on signing Alan Hutton from AV this week, if Lichaj goes that leaves them with only one first team RB, some of their fans are now questioning the decision to let him go.
“We were together in a room for five hours. There’s a desire from the owner to get things done early.” Anyone who can last 5 hours in the same room as that dipstick Ehab gets my vote. It sounds like Nigel needs another holiday after that.
It’s looking more likely we’ll have a team capable of challenging in the Goalz 5-a-side league rather than the Championship.
The longer they take to sell, the less they're likely to get and therefore the less thay can/will wish to spend on players. Ehab doesn't seem to understand the concept of investment in an asset
That's not the model the allams are looking at, they are getting there money back and the way they are doing it they will 100% get it back, plus the interest they have been paying themselfs and then plus the price they sell the club for.... If they where to invest now it's potentially wasted, unless they get back in the Prem It's risk and reward....they have chosen the low reward with low to zero risk! But will still walk away having done extremely extreamly well financially from owning us (not as well as they could) but still very well
Adkins is getting lower and lower isn't he. For someone who is normally upbeat and sounds it, he is really struggling.
must be true- Ehab buys players who scored against us last season - Dicko and Irvine - surprised we didn't go for Meyler as well
It happened to Bruce. It happened to Phelan. Silva was the exception. Only 6 months, with an exit route already in place. It happened to Slut. It was sad to see. Proud men being broken and turned into literally shadows of their former selves. Does anyone really expect it to be any different for Nige? Similar pattern with our transfer windows. Again, does anyone really expect it to be any different? Now only 9 days left before pre-season starts. From "I want my squad in place before we return. 20 outfield players, 3 keepers, rest made up of promising younger players breaking through" To, "I want the majority of my squad in place before we return ....." To, "We are close to a couple of signings. If our business has to be done late then so be it ..... " Welcome to our world Nige. #ticktock #****sout
We’ve got enough fans not supporting the circus. I don’t see why there’s an outcry that players would rather play elsewhere.
So shall we have a sweepstakes on when the 1st signing will be this week? Adkins will be desperate to get somebody/anybody in before they start back in training in a week's time or otherwise his 'get our business done early' speech will start to sound very hollow, and I suspect a few local journos will be getting ready to tell him 'we told you so' I will pick Wednesday for the 1st signing of a league 1 defender.
Just checked. Bolton, Preston and Lancashire have all made signings already, beating even The Biggest Club In The Whole World and The Best Run Club In The World, who both appear to be huffing and puffing about getting players to put 'pen to paper'. Maybe they do it electronically in Lancashire.
Because we have parachute payments and further transfer payment instalments from last season, agents will be looking to extract bigger wages and fees for their players. I suspect Ehab thinks he is the master of brinkmanship and will hold out, this will really test Nigel's upbeat manner and patience.
I'm going to guess that there'll be absolutely no transfers this coming week. Such is the ineptness of our vice chairman and the numpty he employed as head of recruitment. ****wits.
