Ok, i’ve Been a bit on the fence on this one... could see big upside and potential downsides. Thought i’d Be ‘meh’ if it was announced, but i’m actually feeling upbeat about it. Whether it works or not, we have a coach widely respected on the world scene... who is clearly dingbats... i like that, the world is full of dull boring grey people. His name alone is a signal of intent, it should help open doors to signings. He wants control of ins and outs and we’ve all felt that orta picked who he wanted with no coach say in the matter, so that’s a positive. He made demands we agreed... so lets hope we stick to them and at least we’ll have a manager who has been given a fair shot at it. ... of course he could walk out after 2 days But i’m In glass half full mode. Also, as one of Orta’s biggest critics, I have to give some credit here... despite my flippant comments yesterday he’ll have known the kind of arrangement bielsa would have wanted, yet he suggested him and sounds like he went all out to get the deal done. Fair play.
Of course this does mean, everything Glorys said in the last 2 years is crap. But some of us knew that anyway.
I hope he does as he's been the chief scapegoat of the chief scapegoat which has always felt unfair as he was 19 spending his first season abroad and was never signed to feature as heavily as he did last year. Obviously he still might prove to be crap but hope he gets a fair chance to develop in better circumstance under the coach this year.
He may be cheap at £2m if he can recruit some talented loanees from Spurs and City Ther is mention already of a CB bought by Spurs for £10m coming to us so Barkley will be shelved Cooper will be gone and OConnor will be the next choice CB.Gunn will be new keeper and Felix and Lonegren will be gone If he can show Ekuban how to score on I on I situation he could make a player out of him and Grot to use his weight more then the 2m will be chicken feed
Leeds HEAD coach? They need more than their heads coached, they also need to use their feet occasionally.
Well at last, something to actually debate. Might not work out but at least the appointment of this coach / manager has caused some excitement (trepidation?) which is great. Pep & Poch have adopted his high pressing game so some of our lads are in for a shock in training as he ups their fitness. Can't remember if it was Marcos or Ristac the wondered if Pablo has the legs for the new coach. Phillips is another that will have to up his fitness and tempo to his game or he will be gone. Like to see some transfer activity now so we really know what direction we are heading as I can't see many in this team adapting to his style of play, not enough pace in the side.
good afternoon just in from my toils and i see bielsabub has joined up.should be an interesting summer regarding signings and deadwood. i shall be departing wakeyone on Sunday back to Zante in search of a pair of sunglasses for davy to replace his fake ray bans which i sold to some poor albanian for three euro.hows i to know they were real.going for the full two weeks this time i need a break. surely new players will be in by next week.
