Yep - When you have the best manager supported by the best Chairman, the best fans do enjoy a simple life As CS Lewis wrote "Onwards and upwards"
So they’re right and i’m Wrong? What I want to know is, was Albert... their albert the right one not my Albert the wrong one... a tough guy like Vince hilaire.
As we await an announcement regarding our new head honcho I'm interested as to how we all feel about the lack of opportunity given to black, asian and mixed ethnic (BAME) candidates in football management and coaching. It seems that even if you have had a a stellar playing career and have done all your coaching badges then the chances of being given an opportunity are slim to non existent. No problem of course for Gerrard or Lampard who are given top jobs even thought they have no experience whatsoever coaching at first team level. Is it time to admit that football in the UK is still intrinsically racist. Hopefully someone like Patrick Vieria who has just been given the Nice job in France's top league can be successful. If so then surely he will get the Arsenal or Man City job at some point in the future.
Nope - Black managers are given plenty of chances - for example Chris Hughton (Newcastle and Brighton) , Chris Powell (Charlton, Huddersfield & Southend), Chris Ramsey(QPR), Jimmy Floyd Hasselbank(Burton and QPR), Keith Curle (Carlisle) ,Terry Connor (Wolves), John Salako (Palace) Ruud Hullett (Chelsea and Newcastle), Darren Moore (WBA), Paul Ince (loads), Jack Lester (Chesterfield), John Barnes (Celtic and Tranmere), Chris Kiwomya (Notts County)
John Barnes,Paul Ince,J F Hasselbaink all had a chance, unfortunatly they didn't do any favours for the ones following.
I was reading today that Bielsa's fitness coach and nutritionist has packed in his current job, so it looks like it could be all systems go. We are 16/1 (best price) with Betfred to win the Championship. The Magic Sign have us at 12's.
Gerrard gerrard And lampard have a load of contacts and prestige to bring with them.been a few black shall we say managers over the years not a massive amount i admit.not one has gone on to do anything of note in this country.how would the japanese bremner do at management .should they give most of the jobs to non whites and promote positive discrimination.the policy which got this country in the shyte it is now.i honestly cant think of anyone who has been any good at it.
