Well, I guess Warnock may get some consistency and hardwork out of Murphy. That's really my only concern about him. Seems he disappears for games on end. Still, I guess he brings some of that creativity we need.

Not sure if this is new...

Cardiff City have made a £4M bid for Leeds Utd player Luke Ayling. Player has asked for permission to speak to Warnock

Not seen this officially anywhere but another one flying around the mill is ex-Hull free agent Abel Herndandez.

On Fiorentina's radar but wants to get back into the Prem with a new club. Warnock said to be interested.

May be an ex-Wurzle but hard working and one of Leeds best performers in recent times whenever I've seen them play.

Just don't let him be out on any balconies after a drink or two :emoticon-0145-shake

Hernandez would be a decent addition too if we could keep him fit!

This is the one that could be key. An old head with a big mouth to cajole and berate the younger ones around him.
Think the back 5 / 6 is ok with plenty of talking. The man in the centre of the park could be the glue to hold the front 5 / 6 together.

Still interested to see who departs. Given his attitude and back end performances, does pilks get a reprieve? What happens to madine? How soon can Tomlin join the trees?

All these questions to be debated and answered in the next exciting instalments of 'preparing for the premier league'.

WoL reporting the imminent signing of cunningham. Also another permie a 2 season long loans in the next couple days.

Steady on Neil, it's a long summer. Spread them out a bit. Going to be pretty boring if you sign everyone this week.

I know I said it would be nice to get one or two over the line but be fair......

I think Colin is just what’s needed to get Josh playing to his potential, a kick in the arse every 15 minutes should do it. Josh wimps out of tackles and I’ve only seen him header the ball once in 4 years! He will score a few sensational goals for you, but the emphasis is on “few”! He was never made for the championship, it’s too rough for the little dear! People around me where I sit call him Darcy Bussell.
Good luck with him, and I hope you have a successful season!

Yes agree but not either or ; City need both plus a goalkeeper to compete with Etheridge.

Will he play in place of Joe or be a bencher?

Talk of rotation (tough fewer games should mean this is reduced) or playing one further forward.
Maybe, like Paterson, he doesn't think Bennett can defend. Then where does that leave hoilett?
No doubt we need cover for all positions, but it's expensive cover.

Unless he is expecting Bennett to move on to Fulham?

Let's face it. 4 mill isn't close to being expensive these days :emoticon-0101-sadsm

Can help play right back if needed maybe? Lord knows I certainly don't want to see Bruno playing there in the Prem.

Agreed - Bruno is no fullback. He showed his limitations in the Championship and could be dreadfully exposed in the Prem.

I think Cunningham is an out and out left back and will stick to that side. Strange that both signings Murphy andf Cunningham are left footed.

Could be that Murphy will play wide left and Bennett could play just behind him on that side - he's played there before.

Question maybe is, where does Hoilett fit in - as a right footed player, should he switch to wide right?

He's switched sides during games but seems better coming in onto his right foot than trying to go outside a man when on the right.
Suppose it gives Colin more options.
