Personally, I'm not a fan of Moncler, but many people are, their sales last year were an astounding €1,193,000,000.00.
Ha ha, just googled 1.2 billion euros to sterling and the response tickled me. Answer £1billion, roughly how much Sterling spends per week on Moncler.
Considering they must spend about the same as George at Asda do on actually making the garments that is bloody good going! Personally I want a bit of waterproof / breathable tech in all of my £500+ ponchos!
You couldn't be more wrong, a mate of mine makes their down jackets and they pay an absolute fortune for them, they're the highest specification garments I've ever seen in production in 35 years.
Poundworld's done one. That's another three shops in Hull that could be empty soon, including one big one (the old Woolies), though I can't stand pound shops, so I'll lose little sleep over this one.

Worth it just to look this good... please log in to view this image You'd feel a right twat if you'd just bought one for 15 quid at the army surplus store.
I've worn Moncler for at least a dozen years and have lent them out to family members when their going skiing. I call them my comfort blankets as they are that cosy and purchase a new one every two years. My first one ( a red "Thomas") has been in the washing machine at least a dozen times and is still going strong. I think it's a pity Stone Island has this crap reputation, as some of their designs and quality are exceptional. Each to their own.
It’s the costume Benedict Cumberbatch should have worn for his interpretation of a modern day Sherlock Holmes.
Henri Lloyd have gone into admin as well now (immediately bought by a Swedish company), the middle market fashion business is ****ed.
