After a discussion with Chilcs in another thread I thought that this is worth posting here to:

Found this one really difficult. As well as being fantastic players they're all really likeable too.

Not that I'd have picked him ahead of Cork and Morgan (finally, I'm going to get someone in this team), but I'd have had Chaplow in the running. He'd have been my 3rd place vote.

Chaplow definitely deserves an honourable mention.

Agreed, he achieved legendary status for that goal against Man Utd in the Cup when we were in League One.

Also, look out for the run he makes to set up a chance for Fonte in this game against Boro in the Championship season. This also contains 2 Guly goals and the fabulous 32-pass move culminating in a piece of Lambert genius assisting David Connolly.

I genuinely was supposed to put him in and forgot <doh>

    Probably too late now.

Just did. Shocked that more people have gone for Wanyama! Just shows, even amongst the 606 informed football fans, how little some people understand the game.:emoticon-0128-hi:

Victor is though the only one who appears capable to beating Hammond to second. So I might have to change my vote away from Cork, to Wanyama, just for that reason. But I can't. I can't not vote Cork.

I never thought Romeu is as could as many appear to think.

    Lovely guy though.

Absolutely. We were never the same team after his injury against Bristol City. I would go as far as to say that it almost cost us our promotion.

Hammond's goal against Leeds in our first Championship match remains one of my all time favourites. It set the tone for the season ahead.

It would be better if everyone who voted Wanyama changed their vote to Cork!

I wouldn’t go that far. He was never the same player either, but had a good run of games up to that point.

I always thought he was massively over rate by Saints fans. I loved him playing for us, but he simply wasn’t that good a player.

You understand it’s not about the “best” in these votes? Deano would not get in the best side.

I loved Vic and he was hugely underappreciated by a lot of Saints fans.

    He ain't no Deano though.
