If you read Hays original statement, it says signing new contract ends possibilities of him leaving on the cheap. Thats exactly what it means. Also gives the lad financial security, fair play to him. Just pointing that out
Well I was thinking the same Penneth. I was also born in Leeds, but left due to my parents moving 50 years ago, so is every time I visit Elland Road, a step forwards or backwards Obviously if I was signed by Leeds, then it would most definitely be a step forward, a 52 year old arthritic left back, would be ideal to have as a reserve
I have to admit to being a tad bias but would say a step forward. 52 year old left back get him in the first team, many a good tune and all that
please log in to view this image A little strange. Tom Peace signing his 4 year deal FROM THE CHAIRMAN'S SUITE AT ER. Tom's in France with the U21's. Why choose to release it now? Are there going to be staggered events happening throughout the day???
oh please Chesh, I have some standards, if you are going to send me to Millwall, I'll announce my retirement from football right now ( was going to say professional football, but realised that professional and Millwall in the same sentence doesnt compute )
Someone mentioned he used to be at leeds, personally, I don't remember him. Are you on Chippy's bandwagon, I'm going to love that.....
I think the lad's being cautious - and rightly so. If, for instance, he's been sold on us on the basis of us getting Bielsa as manager, then who could blame him waiting until Bielsa's contract was signed?
Maybe waiting to see does new manager want him. Seems daft to me signing players when we dont have the opinion of the new coach/manager. If I didnt know better Id say Orta has 100 percent control over signings
Don't be bringing me into it... Perhaps if you were a Leeds supporter you might know who actually played for us.
