Rumour control moving into full swing. Still want to get that first signing under our belt though. Those last two seem quite realistic.
Ding Dong back on the radar after he was supposed to be going to Italy................ https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/cardiff-city-said-joined-race-14739036
We need players who want to be here not having us as second or third choice. Salaries are my big concern Sparkey. Could destabilise the squad if one or two big earners come in.
Shipped out, mainly to save Sullivan some face after he slagged him off, would be very embarrassing for him if snodgrass were to get a chance and prove himself worthy.
I'd be happy with Snodgrass if we could make the deal sensibly (ie not a ridiculous fee or wages). Hadn't realised Medel is now at Besiktas. Don't know how well he's been doing for them but if he's in half decent form I'd welcome him back! One of our few success stories from last time around.
Interesting looking at the Denmark squad. No zohore in the squad, but a striker berth filled by former bluebird ..... ......Andreas Cornelius.
To be fair he’s now a decent striker. It was just that when City signed him he was not and was unsuited for the PL plus he was plainly either unfit or injured. He’d be an asset now.
Well if we took him, I hope he'd pay half the fee and his wages for at least 18 months. Or maybe Malky could contribute?
Why should they? His potential was obvious and if Tan wasn't so hell bent on 'making a point' he could have retained him instead of giving him away (and replacing him with Macheda, LeFondre, Maynard et al) whose combined cost probably outweighed that of AC anyway.
Potential ? 3 goals in 23 league games for Atalanta, that's a massive improvement from his games for us.
...here we go again Whiff.... Just one small point though - I think it was Malky who signed Maynard and the other two were Solksjaer's imports. Malky was still a clown for blowing so much money on "one for the future" when the whole object of getting to the Prem that first season was just staying there.
I only saw Cornelius once in a bluebirds shirt and without seeing his face his movement reminded of Andy Campbell, only worse...
A bit bigger than Campbell. He's obviously got a bit about him if he's off to the world cup. Anyway, one for the past. I wonder how confident Colin is of Ken cutting it in the big league? Seems to be sniffing around a few strikers, unless they can also play wide. Someone to step ahead of NML is what we need. Think he'll be ok on the bench or for the occasional start by need a mirror image of Junior. A couple centre mids as well please. And if Gunnar doesn't sign soon, tell him to do one!
Hope not. Surely we learned lessons from Blobby Fowlup in not paying out on highly paid players on their way down.
