Wenger shat all over spurs mate. And even during the period that Poch has been manager, when Wenger was well past it, he still shat on Spurs winning by 3 pots to your 0.

    Truth has destroyed you.

you won 2 ... still more than us <ok>

what I enjoyed about last season was:

    a) in our worse season in 3 years we still came 14 points above you (after you had a 4 point lead on us just before xmas)
    and
    b) I know a dumbass who lost a bet cos he thought the goons would finish above spurs ... he has to change his Avatar for 6 months...can you believe THAT?

What's all this then? is Poch getting the sack or something. I know he has won **** all but he seems a nice boy, ideal for Spurs.

Well, word is Madrid indeed had and eye on him only to be alerted that Klopp was actually also an option. Obviously their interest in Poch was forgotten as soon as they started thinking about the German.

Genuine question RCL, are you happy now you've become the new Arsenal?

am old school mate...want trophies... any trophy!

But football is dominated by money and that means CL football is essential.

I am glad we are better than we've been since the 1980s but would love to see us win a cup ... can not see us winning the title...City are light years ahead of us and will continue to spend ludicrous amounts hoovering up talent and so become stronger.

But I think the comparison with arsenal is mistaken.
They were at the top level...had done the double twice in 1998 and 2002 and went unbeaten for the season in 2004 and we CL tinalists in 2006. between 1997 and 2004 the never came lower than 2nd and only the best premier league team in history (and possibly in league history) in terms of long term domination stopped them from winning more.
They then went down to top 4 only.

Pre 2006 we were normally 10th - 16th in the league.
post 2006 we were usually 5th with 1 CL campaign so the last 3 years represent us improving...but the question now is whether we can go up to the top level.

Well you've certainly improved since those days but you were considered a cup side back then like us before Mr. Moneybags took over. Given the spending power of City & United you're looking at around £1 billion investment to challenge those two realistically.

PS. Ginge say's you spiralled last year. :D

The football played by City is excellent but the "pep is a genius" stuff does my head in.
He spent over half a billion while having Aguero, Kompany, Silva, Stones, Stirling etc. already there.
I get his team plays excellent football but winning the title was no big deal in those circumstances imho.
Jose spent nearly 400 million in 2 years or so and has produced a posh Wimbledon team <laugh>

So no... unfortunately we will not be winning the title any time soon
