Hes not a 12f horse Saxon Warrior, in hindsight it was pretty obvious the way he won the Guineas.

I think you need to watch a re-run mate. Outpaced at critical stages and never picked up when asked. Well beaten and not good enough, will surely drop back in trip.

Agreed he will drop back in trip but he did have the door closed massively.

No triple crown this year then <laugh>

8-10 Furlongs for Saxon Warrior - possibly the Juddmonte International at York? Maybe the Eclipse, might be winnable with no older superstar?

Its uneccessary seeing as plenty of group 2 and 3 horses have one weak group 1's

Only 2 of the first 5 stayed. winner must be a pretty good animal and from the same female line as Galileo and Sea the Stars likely to be very popular as a stallion..

How ironic - Godolphin spent so much over the years trying to get a Derby winner and when they do eventually win its with a colt they bred themselves (and bred the dam and grand-dam)

Never thought I was watching a future Derby winner when I saw Masar winning the Solario at Sandown last year. I must go and dig out the photos! Well done to those that backed him. I had my doubts that he would stay and after his disappointing effort in the Guineas, I would not have him today.

I thought Dee Ex Bee ran a terrific race in second because when I saw him in the parade ring he looked tall and lean and I did not think he would handle the track.

Of the fancied runners, my choice Young Rascal was one of the first beaten. He completely lost his action on the descent at Tattenham Corner and was going more sideways than forward from the three pole, so he did not handle the track.

I could not understand why Roaring Lion went for the Derby (presumably owners’ decision) as he looked more a Prix Du Jockey Club type after York; and I think he just did not get home as he was finishing well until they met the rising ground in the last half furlong.

I wonder whether Saxon Warrior actually stayed. Yes, he had traffic troubles but the winner was alongside him when he got in the clear but he just flattened out and scrambled past Hazapour to finish fourth.

My expectation is that Dee Ex Bee will go for the Irish Derby where the flatter track will be more to his liking. It will be interesting to see what they want to do with Masar and I think there is a good chance that Saxon Warrior may drop back to a mile as it does not look a strong division for the three year olds.

Well, my information received has a zero per cent strike rate so far today:

Midgley won the race but with the one that was on a hat-trick after winning two small races. So much for the info!

So here is the chance to raise the strike rate to fifty per cent. Not often I get tips from two sources in the same day but the word, with the usual wealth warning, is for:

Thanks for the tips guys for Worcester. Did 6 bets and had a winner and 3 places. So not the most successful days betting but ok.

Still shocked on the derby result. Can't believe Masar won and Saxon Warrior was not even in the first 3 although would have been in my view if not meeting traffic problems.

Worcester is a lovely course by the way , walkable to the town centre, quite picturesque and the ladies certainly dress up. In case anyone is interested, I saw no one causing trouble or shouting out obsenities and was a friendly atmosphere all day :emoticon-0100-smile. The only thing I heard was some guy saying to his mates 'right let's go and get muellered' when arriving at Worcester Foregate Street around lunchtime. Would recommend the course to anyone fancying a good day out racing...

Too true. It was third last out of the gate and it stayed third last the whole race. I was told that they were running it because it needed soft ground, otherwise I would have left it alone. Apparently, if one looks at the horse it has three white socks, hence the name (Miss Inga Sock).

Subsequently, I was told the same stable’s runner in the 7:30 but I decided to give it a miss and avoided the embarrassment of putting it up on here for a hat-trick of duff tips.
