Now I didnt make the point but I'd still wager that you are completely missing it. I hazard that the poster wasnt intending to say that Hobbs will be as good as Turner, he was saying that Turner was very poor for the first 4 months that we had him (which he definitely was) and given time he might dramatically improve.
The point i'm making is that Turner was someone who started off as a boo boy traget and developed into a good player. I don't expect Hobbs to be as good as Turner, just reminding people that for all people write players off after a few bad games, they can turn out to be good players for the club. You can also say the same about the likes of Delaney and Garcia.
Hobbs is OK, as I said before we aren't even out of August yet, lets give people a bit of time before passing judgement and looking for scapegoats
Stop being unkind about your "mam"!! Maybe she has just cause to moan!!! I have a son, so I know where she's coming from!!! Cheers.
He is definately no captain and i dont think he's that good a defender but as someone has already said do we have anyone else to play there and be quality.
What makes you think that? Pretty sure NP was fairly adamant he still had a role to play when reading were sniffing around in the summer. He'd said he was very impressed with his attitude during and after his loan at Barnsley if i recall correctly
It was unfortunate he got injured when he did, i think he was firmly in NP's plans after that Liverpool game combined with his good attitude. I expect he'lll have a part to play in our season once he comes back from his injury.
Chester's a better defender than Turner. Turner weighed in with goals, which comes in handy doesn't it. Still,Chez for me.
really is a shame he got injured. Now we have to play Hobbs every weeek. But there's hope when he's back and playing again.
So - when McShane is back, playing instead of Hobbs....... ......who are you going to moan about then, my fine fan?
I like mcshane as a right back but as a CB i dont think he can do the job and obviously noone would replace rosie.
Mcshane is no fan of Pearsons he came on 6 times last year and we didnt lose then he played in the 5-1 scunny win and was dropped next game thats when he went for a meeting to see what more he had to do to earn a place? Thats when he ended up at Barnsley.
I know for a fact Mcshane knocked on Pearsons door for a meeting after training as many players do when they find themselves out of the team! I dont even know why im replying to you your a propper divvy
