still have to disagree. That final 2 seasons under martinez was nearly as bad as watching allardyce hoofball.

Only 10 games in - yes you can. It was going very well for Watford, having finished the previous season on 6 straight losses. There was every indication that he was what they needed but what happened, happened so who knows whether his contract would have been extended. As I said earlier, he knew what he was signing, if he wasn't happy with a one year deal why did he sign?

It's just a big, fat wait and see for you lot now.

Nah. We created chances, scored goals.....

I wonder what Bobby would have done with £150m?

He can’t be rubbish if he has the Belgium job.....can he?

In fairness the manager doesn’t cross the white line, so not sure how he downed tools?

Martinez has never built a side that could even remotely defend. He got away with it season 1 with us, as Moyes defensive drilling was still fresh. The second 2 seasons showed him for what he is, a hung ho egotist who put supposed ‘style’ before results. He should have been sacked over a year before he actually was, as you could see he’d lost the dressing room even then. The last 2 seasons were ****e to watch as well, not only for the suicidal lack of defending but for the mind numbingly boring possession based ****e with little end product. We spent half the game passing it across the back 4 on the half way line. Rose tinteds in short mate, he was a ****ing goon. <laugh>

I would agree that he didndown tools, not just to disagree with you. That side went on anterrible runnafter the interest shown in Silva.

You say it’s the players who cross the white line, why did a squad that recorded such great results in Bobbys first season suddenly turn into an average side?

It unsettled him, which in turn unsettled the dressing room, as he made it clear he wanted to take the job. However, that doesn’t equate to him downing tools. It means he lost some respect in the dressing room and the players downed tools.

Each season you created less chances and once martinez style kicked in just passed it amongst the back for 4 for most of the game before getting sucker punched on the counter.

He was so rubbish he was sacked.

As for belgium hiring him **** knows but they've had **** managers through the years. Since England are a bigger footballing nation i'll presume Mcclaren and Hodgson are also world beaters having been hired for the job at one point
