    A

All is well this end, hoping it is yours.

Shirt sponsors, to me anyway, are the least important thing. From memory of our last few sponsors,

Lancer Scott, I know they are a Bristol based construction company, never once visited their website or even thought twice about them
RSG, can't even remember what they were, a recruitment business I think, again never even looked them up,
Blackthorn, prefer thatchers and seeing them on a shirt didn't make me want one
BTC, a car company, probably one of the only sponsors I'd genuinely consider going to if I wanted a car, in fact I bought my last car from CarBase, which is where BTC used to be.
DAS, I suppose out of all of them the best sponsor, if I needed legal help they'd be at the front of my mind because of City.

This Dunder lark has no effect on anyone but the casino business itself, I looked them up just to see what the website was like, I won't be joining up though because I'm not a ****ing idiot with my money. Anyone who has a problem with a gambling company being a sponsor because it promotes gambling is a ****ing snowflake. You don't develop a gambling problem because "DUNDER" is written on the front of a Bristol city shirt, You develop one because you have a serious mental problem. I understand some people have a problem with betting sponsors but come on, who's gambling story starts with someone seeing it on a football shirt... Everyone is aware of online gambling without the need for advertisement.

As for the Sags way of doing it, I actually think its a great idea. Helps promote local business but can you honestly say you've shopped or visited any of the sponsors that has been on your shirt? I doubt many of your fans have, just like 98% of our fans won't create an account with Dunder.

All is ok my end. For now anyway. Glad you doing good <ok>

To answer your question at the end, The Sportsman pub. Been their quite a few times before a game and after :). Thornton Travel. Used their site. Seen the prices and quickly left their site <laugh>. I too liked our raffle for the reasons as you say. Also it gave us more money that way too. But this time, the shirt sponsors are not included as a prize. I wonder who we will get! Probably some Jordanian business I suspect.

I fully agree with you that you don't and wont get a gambling problem due to Dunder being on your shirt. I think its more of a moral thing really. The money they paid to be your sponsor has probably came from those who you say has serious mental problems, who lost their money to Dunder, if you catch my drift. If you dont have issues with that then that is fair enough. But if another City fan is not too happy with it, doesn't make them a snowflake. This whole debate went off before around the morals of it all with other clubs who went down the same way.

After this chat of ours, whats the bets Rovers end up with betfred <doh>

Oh it does. We live in a world of ****ing snowflakes mate. Can’t say or do anything nowadays without it offending someone. All the ones moaning about it have probably never gambled or know anyone who has a gambling problem either, but are moaning for the sake of it.

<laugh><laugh>.......you couldn't make it up, talk about pot and kettle - get the retaliation in first eh?.......<laugh>

I thought shiny's post was a too close to home for someone on here and so it proved - just made my day wiz. Where's "precious" or has somebody been rude to him again .....<laugh>

FFS shiny - come back on here more often, this place is devoid of life as we knew it - now just a pile of bland media copy and pastes.

    How's the hotel doing Basil?

I'm having serious misgivings about all this and am getting worried - twenty minutes now and my post is still up.

Has the Vicar seen the light or is his delete button stuck?............<laugh>

Personally would prefer no shirt sponsor at all , think they spoil the shirt , as for using a betting company i don’t have a problem with it personally , although to call those that do ——ing snowflakes maybe a bit extreme , but whatever floats your boat.

As for who the gas have on their shirt , no offence sparrow, but I don’t give a flying monkeys .

Come on Sparkey, don't rock the boat. It's all been very amicable on here since the ban was voluntarily lifted by the wizened one.

    A bit boring, but amicable.

Quite enjoying the tea and Tiffin though.

Back to the thread, what was the value of the sponsorship? Not seen it cut and pasted anywhere.

Odd to ditch an existing sponsor part way through a deal though. Must be a worthwhile difference between the two.

Are there many clubs left without a betting sponsor? Seems all the rage.
