He's a decent coach, was doing really well at Watford and then fell out with their chairman. He's a vast improvement on Fat Sam, and I'd expect to see Everton pushing on with Silva in charge
Yeah it was a bit tongue in cheek. He's decent imo. Still getting sacked by Watford isn't great to have on your CV.
please log in to view this image I think I got sacked by Watford a while ago. Hasn't everyone? Eight managers in the last five years or so.
Quite fancy Everton to spend a couple hundred million this window and still end up in 8th. Pointless club. Setanta sports back in the day was Liverpool or Everton every week. I still hold a grudge.
The trouble is the Top 6 are quite some way off the rest so what's Silvas goal here? To finish 7th or be deluded and think he'll get Everton to top 4/6. Shame it's a 6 club league really that's cluttered with 14 other **** teams.
Top 10 is the aim. Forever. Honestly the Championship can be crap but I can’t imagine anything worse than spending year after year in the Premier League never challenging and never having a serious chance of relegation.
Would like to see the mid-table sides have a real go at the cups but they seem to be the most reluctant to play full strength sides.
Yeah that can get dull quickly too, especially with the awful list of away days next season. At least it’s unpredictable though whereas you’ve got a glass ceiling now realistically stopping you finishing higher than seventh and lower than about 13th. Rotherham could go up and Villa could go down.
The owner seems intent of smashing that glass ceiling, it’ll be interesting to see whether he backs Silva and Brands heavily this summer.
