And? How much are Richards and agbonlahor on and probably will be on next season. There's plenty like that at villa before Bruce got there.
About 35k a week for Richards, who was brought in to be captain when they were in the premier league, he got unlucky with injuries. https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sp...news/micah-richards-aston-villa-avfc-14126402
https://www.dailystar.co.uk/pics/sp...on-Villa-player-s-weekly-wages-sportgalleries Villa are going to have to sell big to get this wage bill off their books - they should start with Bruce who's ****ed up yet again - one goal in three play off games
Good job Fulham didn't do that with jokanovic eh. ****ed it up completely last season. Massive wage bill Fulham. Millions in debt. Took them, is it five years, to get out of the championship.
Was in the Premier League, but he was one of the few with a 50% relegation wage reduction clause apparently.
Swiss Ramble @SwissRamble For 2018/19, #AVFC parachute payment falls from £34m to £17m. If we assume no other changes and zero profit on player sales, we can see how much money Villa need to find to meet FFP limit of £39m. The shortfall is £45m, which must be made up by cuts in wage bill or player sales.
They'll start getting a fine at the end of this season also won't they? Or is it only upon promotion?
The FFP losses are calculated over a few seasons, not just one, but having missed out on promotion, they're now going to have to claw a load of cash back. They're expected to sell Grealish, possibly also Chester, Terry will now be released, along with Hutton, Samba, Agbanlahor and probably others.
Yes, 3 years I thought it was, which would mean as this is their third season in the league they'd be eligible for fines? I know they're always payable on promotion after overspending but I'm not sure if it applies otherwise?
Promotion has nothing to do with it, the Football League FFP rules have to be met by every Football League club and fines for breaching them have to be paid whatever league you end up in. But the permitted losses massively increase for clubs recently relegated from the Premier League, hence Villa only now run running into difficulties... please log in to view this image
£39m permissible loss!!!! Bit of a piss take really. I thought it was like £8m if covered by the owner and peanuts if not.
I'm not sure about Terry, the snake in the grass, being released, he'll be mightily naffed off if Lampard gets the Derby Manager job, a dent to his ego, wouldn't surprise me if he was manoeuvring himself for Player Manager at Villa and getting SB booted out.
**** all compared to how much Brucie's cost Villa - another club he's left in deep **** - no doubt he'll dust himself down and roll his sleeves up and tell everyone he's the best person for the job
