    Who would you want to step up?

    Personally I think Ritchie or Dummett would be good pics.

    Ritchie for his passion and Dummy for his fist pumping Geordieness.

    Yeah i think it'd have to be Ritchie or Dummy tbh. Be interested to see how Shelvey handled it but i wouldn't take the risk personally

    Well as many people on here have mentioned having replacements for both Dummett and Ritchie then neither of those. Though out of the 2 I would go for Dummett.

    However, I would be looking at a signing who could then be captain

    Agreed, but he's learnt the language quick, seems happy to come out and speak to press/fans/players etc. think he seems like a good guy with the right attitude and a calm head on his shoulders.

    Shelvey has acted as vice-captain this season I believe so I would imagine it would be him. I'd probably pick him over Dummett or Ritchie because we'd hopefully be looking to improve on them and Shelvey is more likely to play week in, week out.
