Fair play to the lad - he expressed an opinion, clarified it by saying that his transfer fee was a lot (comparing it to what City paid for Aguero), and is big (and humble) enough to take it back and admit he was wrong.

Even so, just reading through his tweets, he does come across someone who comments on twitter with his tongue firmly in his cheek. It's other people who have a problem by taking it all too seriously.

    A pony? That's a weird thing to call someone..maybe a pack mule, or a donkey..but a pony?

And let's be honest Simpson..you play along side Shola..

To be fair, Dzeko had a very poor first season, just come into fantastic form since that tweet ironically.

Meh, when he stops being such a terminally average fullback he can start criticising. I'd prefer he lays off the Twitter and learn how to close down his man.

it is a bit steap for some regular league player to criticise an international who two seasons in a row got like 20 goals for wolfsburg (and won the league). Simpson's obviously a manU fan though.

And I guess we have to be world beating professional footballers to have an opinion too?

Oddly enough, in Danny Simpsons eyes yes. At the Leeds friendly one of my mates shouted something about closing down at him after once again letting his man walk into the area, Simpson looked back at him and post game Tweeted some bollocks about fans not knowing what they're on about.

Regardless, as a fellow pro he should have a tad more professionalism, lest two dozen left wingers start tweeting about how easily they've done him in the last year or so.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Simpson on his way before Wednesday if we capture Santon/Pieters

Dzeko is quality and was always going to be - would out do Simpson time and again

I was thinking exactly this. We all criticise footballers on here, just because we are not brilliant at football we should never stop criticising, that is part of the game. Simpson is an alright player and does have his faults but he is a football fan who is entitles to his opinion.

Also cancelling his twitter isn't going to make him better. I'd prefer he was on twitter all the time than going out and getting hammered/causing trouble all the time.
