I don't think it's used in day-to-day life any more as there are only about 5000 Welsh speakers now but I'd love to go to an Eisteddfod there, as they're joint Welsh/Spanish festivals
Yes, absolutely. There are Welsh classes and I think a couple of bilingual schools. I know someone who went out there for a couple of years to teach and adored it. There's now a strong relationship between Wales and Chubut in Patagonia (where most of the immigrants settled) and a lot of support from Wales to build the language and keep the Welsh culture alive.
Welsh culture has a lot of offer, and still does at a national and international level. PS¨: Barry John was one of my héroes when I was at school.
Death threats to Karius and his family?, seriously there are some real **** ups in this world....... and I include our fans, I still recall how Branfoot was treated...It's just football ffs! https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/44275380
Yep. It's the brave new world of cyber ****e. Read and heard so much stuff about this poor sod today. Hands up any Liverpool player who didn't make mistakes last night. Some fans behave like it was deliberate. Good to see Dejan Lovren being supportive. Nice one, Dejan
Good Luck to Paul Tisdale today at Wembley with Exeter today. I like him. He’s a character with some longevity with that club. I’m torn today though because they play Coventry in the league 2 play-off Final and I have a soft spot for Coventry and their fans. They have endured a ****tier stick than the one we held in those couple of seasons leading up to 2009. But for the foresight of Cortese and Markus, Saints could have gone. Good luck to both teams.
Want Exeter to win . Lots of relatives from the area , and My younger sister lives there , and my nephew was born there If that has not jinxed it , nothing will .
With you. Great fans too. When we beat them at their place on our way to promotion they were very generous and good-humoured after the game, and those who travelled to watch our promotion party were a lovely bunch to travel with both before and after.
I’m behind Exeter too. Apart from the West Country thing, they have 3 former Saints in their squad, plus another one as manager, so how could you not support them?
Yes, both those games they were great and the FA Cup game too - we did play them that season in the Cup? JWP scores his first goal I think.
If that is true, then didn't we win 10-3 on aggregate over the 3 games? Guess Coventry fans don't recall these games with any affection. Good funny memory at the Ricoh was being two up at half time, my mate saying "There's no way that this lot are going to score", and they scored twice before we'd got back to our seats! Luckily Steeeeeve came on and changed the game - not a claim we could make often.
Always feel for the losers in the play-offs. I usually add a special thanks in my prayers for not having to go through that...despite our best efforts to blow it towards the end. Can you even imagine losing in the play offs after our Championship season.
