Does any one remember the HB ice cream ....The Gollywog.. ..or the charity crowd from the Catholic church collecting with the saying ...money for the black babies....might just have been in Ireland but u couldn't do it now

 

One of my first books was Sambo the Jungle boy And we had collections for black babies but that was a Catholic school so you could be right.

 

Just googled the lyrics to “Young Girl”. He’s saying he’s a nonce but at least he’s trying not to act on it. Was there anyone in showbusiness back then who wasn’t a bit wrong?

 

And may we never go back to those dark times.
