Good audition from Bale tonight. Think he may have done enough to warrant a move to the side that trounced his team earlier in the season. Fair play, lad.
Money, Money, Money!! Don' t kid yourself that a little medal will ever compete with mega piles of cash !!
I gave up listening to Talksport. It tends to reinforce my fantasies about killing off about 95% of the human race.
Yeah I get what you mean...there are some serious dickheads on there...there's a few good presenters aswell...or maybe I'm just desperate for football chat.
Exactly. No way way is Ramos ever going to called out for that. All the pundits were like, completely accidental. The thing is, where he holds Salah's arm at the end of the fall. That is done on purpose, knowing that you are going to do serious damage if you then put force there.
I just said this on the Spurs board: There's a reason Ramos is (arguably) the best CB in the world. Did he deliberately mean to dislocate/ injure Salah's shoulder? Probably not, but did he likely have the intention to do his best to take Salah out of the game? You can bet your whole bank account on it he did. Love him or hate him, Sergio Ramos is a born and bred winner.
Get it. Trying to have any even half serious football chat on here is about the same. Then again, lurking here makes me feel the same about 95% of the human race. Present company excluded of course. Mostly.
Goodbye Vancouver. Just seen that liverpool lost the CL final. Heard that karuis had a mare, summary please and did @Skylarker get called into work at short notice ?
I still think he did did do that deliberately and that's what makes him so good. A master of the dark arts... Mourinho would love him... as I suspe If that's the case then why don't we all give up now and leave it to the oil barons.
To speak seriously on the subject - If we were to somehow finance the deal for Bale, then I think there's two ways existing players can look at it: One is to be pissed that a new player comes in on what will likely be a bigger wage than anyone in the squad (even after expected contract renewals for key players) Two is to be understanding that if you as a player, want to see Spurs reach the next level, then paying top dollar for that sort of talent is necessary. Just for the record, I very much doubt I'll see Bale in a Spurs shirt again despite the tongue in cheek comments but I won't deny a small part of me thinks "what if".
Night mate. Don't post here often but from lurking you seem like a decent guy. Feel for you tomight, but yeah... **** happens. Try being a Spurs fan lol.
Yep, I agree. He is only on £150k in reality which I think is manageable with his name and reputation. The £250k was a bit of a wum
Either way I still think it signifies why Ramos is such an elite player. He does everything in his power to see his team win a game, he puts the team above any personal level of glory and that's why over the years he's gotten so many red cards but also picked up so many trophies. Personally, I'd love a player like that at Spurs. In fairness to Alli, he does everything he can to try and win a game but he's obviously nowhere near the level of a winner like Ramos.
Great players are never great managers apparently. I think someone blew that out of the water tonight.
