Bit late I know, but for future reference https://www.reddit.com/r/soccerstreams/ usually has a workable stream. This season I've found those from ripple.is to be very good but you will need to disable any adblocker (this site does not serve any malware that I've been able to detect, but as with anything on the big bad internet YMMV).
Who would have thought that a young rich black 'superstar' footballer having a foot long tattoo of an M-16 machine gun on his leg would cause a public outrage? Sterling has come out to explain his tragic family history and if that is true then he deserves sympathy - but even so, to have that tattoo at this time is a very stupid decision. Has he really not got anyone around him to offer him sensible counsel? And Lineker jumping in to his defence misses the point..... Regardless of the personal ****-storm that this was always likely to attract with the current focus on knife and gun culture, this is exactly the kind of thing that the tabloid press would jump on to attack England in the WC build-up. Well done, Raheem - I'm sure Gareth and the lads are delighted!!
Actually , I think it is an M16. Even his explanation doesn't wash. If you vow never to touch a gun , why have a tattoo of one? Where and what is the message and what will kids looking at the tattoo understand ?
Just sets himself up for greater ridicule when he does his usual England contribution of negative (I would say zero but actually he's taking the place of someone that might contribute, hence it's overall negative). Claims it's to commemorate his father. Another way to do that might be a message such as "RIP Dad miss you" or words to that effect. General lack of modern investigative journalism though - the obvious thing for he news to report after this claim would be how his father died and how long ago it was. If it was a very long time ago and not by an M-16 (I think that's the tattoo not an AK) then we should know. EDIT a simple google search reveals that Sterling came to this country when he was 5 and his father stayed in Jamaica. His father was murdered when he was 9. It doesn't say how his father was killed, but I would suggest that this information may detract from the "in the memory of my father" claim. Why the hell don't the news bother following up anything!!!!
