Klopp bottled it, pure and simple, Bruv. Hopefully, tomorrow's headlines will read: "Klopp and the Nearly Men!"
It would have been ****ing unbearable - Klopp's teeth and glasses all over the media for weeks. Thank god we've been spared that
I'm claiming it for Saints mate. Bale and Mane If we hadn't spent the last decade selling all our best players, we'd be in the CL Final.
I have no animosity to Lallana. Lovren, **** him, he doesn't register. Mane I would genuinely have been happy for if they'd won. But Weasel Van ****e?
You really shouldn't have animosity to any of them, yes they left for more money and a supposed "big club" but have won just the same as the lads that stayed with you. Keep the players that want to stay and try to improve you, let the others go and see how they fair.
I suspect you're wumming here but not sure? Can you imagine the team Southampton would have if they'd kept all the players they've sold? I mean yeah, it'san unfortunate fact of life that better players will gravitate towards bigger clubs (like Ronaldo -> Real for example). Still, there's a way to do it with respect to your former club.
Not really wumming mate, just pointing out that the move has not been great for some of their players. Ronaldo said in his first week with us that his dream was to play for Madrid, he got there and has had success to validate the move.
Well... depends on how you define "good" I suppose. I'm pretty sure that any Southampton player that has moved is earning a **** load more money than they did at Southampton. Unfortunately that does seem to be the main measure these days. They say that players care about winning trophies. But apart from the really elite, who can choose to move wherever they want, do they really? Liverpool have just proved that getting to a Champions League final doesn't require a moneybags owner. I'd like to think that their glorious failure gives hope to other players that are not at Real Madrid or Barcelona ManC or Chelsea that, yes, it is possible. Just buy a good goalkeeper.
