Has this even been confirmed by the club, Bruce or Terry? Bruce's comments look tongue in cheek and every article relies on speculation rather than actual sources. Seems like some journalist is taking you all for a ride, as others have said, it's not even possible to sign such a contract.
Considering he admitted himself that he signed for Villa so he wouldn't have to play against Chelsea, I have absolutely no doubt of it genuinity..
I don't see why it should be part of his contract. All he has to do is pick up a niggling injury a couple of days before, that's how it's normally done when a player doesn't fancy a particular game.
