How do you compare the games against now relegated teams?

 

Replace them with teams who came up. If a #progress can be made for games played in a period against different opposition then this could work.

As no one knows who EFC will buy in the summer it is a daft bet. They could be a completely different team next season also with a new manager. They could finish in the top 6, be relegated.

 

It’s a comparison he is familiar and takes comfort from. But it’s dead, move on.

The only thing that's changed is now they can't get anywhere near the 5th and 6th place finishes they used to routinely achieve

Sounds like a good bet, although I feel we need to spend 5 pages talking about how it's not fair, it's not ludicrous enough and then go round the same argument 4 times before deciding that it's best if we just don't do anything
