Their version of this. They were big fans of Jimmy Reed. As was I after they had made me aware of him.
Aye, that's the point. I think the £70m might have been on here then (your other post) but the figure goes back a while - it was gossiped as nine figures once. The point is that we once had some decent value in a sale and every passing month sees that diminishing. On the other hand, Sunderland have won the Lotto - on face value: TWT.
The £70m was what OLM had heard in recent weeks Far too big a number for me (let’s ignore whether it’s right or not though...none of us knows) If Sunderland was £40m then it means that, in comparison, we are overpriced Although he doesn’t want to sell so I suppose it’s irrelevant
OLM. What would you say the actual real value might be. I am struggling to understand where he gets the £70 from. No ground, no squad worth that. What’s he selling , potential?
I'd say real value is approx £40-45m. If we are virtually debt free (if they have paid it off) then we are still an attractive buy with guaranteed income next season of approx £30m I think
Our income for next season will be about £50m and no doubt daft lad overvalues the players (though when you look at several players at £2-3m each and bigger fees for Bowen, Grosicki etc, it does add up to a fair few quid). I expect the asking price to at least half in January, unless we bizarrely end up storming the league.
