In Vancouver, the expected weather is rain. The expected weather is always rain. At the moment, the forecast suggests that it is not rain, but it's Vancouver, and thus it will rain.
Emery lined up for Arsenal apparently. If they lose a few games, the fans will start saying `Ooooo, you are awful`.
Can't wait for the title of this thread to change to Manager Confirmed. One day, one day Saints will do something earlier than we expect
So West Ham of all clubs, sack a manager and replace him within the week with a manager working in China, whilst Saints still haven't appointed a bloke who was in charge of us at the end of the season, who wants to stay on and the club allegedly want him as well?? Yes Ralph, you're definitely learning from your errors???
Perhaps Saints have a new strategy. It can be expensive to get rid of a manager, so best not to have one.
http://sportwitness.co.uk/pellegrino-another-job-opportunity-southampton-appointed-week/ Leganes said to be in talks with MP2.
How do you know he isn't aware of the rumoured situation? He's been in the game long enough - he would have been nowhere near the job last summer and 8 emergency games doesn't really change that for me. I'd be a little disappointed if we appointed him, he's done nothing at Stoke, QPR or Man City to convince me he's the right man going forward. Especially when there's potentially a manager much more suited to the 'Southampton Way' available next week. Things may change from what I've told, but I think that if it was Hughes that it would have been announced already. The excuses about lawyers just sounds like the club is buying some time. Or we need to get better lawyers.
It is quite impressive. Doesn't quite give me confidence that we're finally going to break the mould and do our transfer business early either.
This may be the reason SS, but last year wasn't it reported that LR thought we could get Tuchel, and look what we ended up with instead. ???
The southampton way has finished. We are not going to unearth a Mane or VvD again for a long time. We need a little stability to get us back on track. One more bad appointment could set us back seven years (would you trust the board with another left-field pick?). Mark might not be shiny, but he sure seems steady.
What's the rush? Who cares if West Ham have a new manager already? I'm happy to wait another couple of weeks to make sure we get the right person. It's still only May ffs and all the players are on holiday anyway.
