Wello obviously anything could happen, and probably will, but great this has happened, gives us a chance we didn't have or I could see 6 months ago, just need to take the opportunity now. Who knows it could even be fun :emoticon-0157-sun:

Would be nice to look forward to going to the games again, instead of driving to every one so can get away from the clouds quicker!

Me neither. The only comment I would make is that having a Funeral Directors as the blog sponsor isn't the most uplifting of associations :)

Cheers @Brian Storm for the post.

Great that it’s over the line and some positive statements. Let’s see what this week brings now.

I only listened to the first 20 mins or so but I’m quite impressed. Will catch the rest tomorrow in the car or something.

They seem to know what we as fans want which is huge and have no delusions of grandeur.

I’d be very surprised if Methven doesn’t replace Martin Bain, he gets it, and doesn’t seem to want to take any ****.

    Onwards and hopefully upwards.

I listened to the whole thing.

They want the fans involved as much as possible. Even mentioning getting fans involved in sprucing the place up, (artistic) fan graffiti invoking club history, replacing the pink seats... (as they said, all dependent on health and safety).

Kevin Ball to be more involved again.

They won't allow the club to be taken advantage of by any agent, player or even manager.

They see the academy as the key, wanting it to be in the best 5 in the UK. Beadling leaving is a big dissapointment, protocol was not followed, and they didn't want anyone to leave until they had taken over and assessed.

Other good feedback from them, too, and it's exciting listening to them. It makes me think that good times are around the corner.

Just listened to whole podcast and, although tempered by thought that the proof of the pudding is in what they do rather than what they say, the overwhelming feeling is that we have our club back, and I can't wait for the new season to start. A novelty after the last few years.

Just listened to the podcast. Wanted to remain indifferent until they prove themselves but they come across as a pair of clever, ambitious lads who want to do well for themselves, the club and the fans.

    Really ****ing impressed.

Agree completely - I think that it wouldn't be right if we all just started being happy clappers and saying "everything is rosy" - we've had too much **** in the last few years to simply push it to one side and say "Everything's great" but it does feel like we're moving in the right direction

They are very impressive so far. I do have concerns about their finances, but that will be more of a concern for as and when we hit the Championship.

I firmly believe that a team laden with our youth talent should win this league, and if the likes of McNair, McGeady and a couple more stay we are in great shape.

I hope that Matthews is retained as he looks very tidy if he can keep fit, the 2 mentioned above and players like Gooch, Honeyman etc who actually looked like they gave a ****.

I’m convinced that if Asoro stays he will take the absolute piss out of this league and set his career up in turbocharged fashion. IF.

We should do well, but If we believe all we have to do is turn up, we could come unstuck, hope not.

Just listened to the podcast, the level of respect, courtesy and good manners in relation to the club is very encouraging. Still, getting us running in the black is still going to be very difficult. I like they want to take it one step at a time, and I like that just cause we've got a big budget, we don't intend on blowing it all on this season.

Love how pissed off he is at Beading leaving. Get shot of Dickman i say and get Robbie Stockdale back in if we're not going to give him the top job.

Listening to what they've said about the club makes me think that if someone from Oxfordshire can see the potential and seemingly understand what the fans are all about then why couldn't anyone local to the North East put a bid together like they did.
I'm not objecting to Donald as a new owner just wondering why no one local could step in for the club.

In all honesty, SD must have massive gonads to take on Sunderland.
Most would have been too scared to take a punt on us so fair play to the new owners <applause>
