Confirmed: Mark Hughes signs 3 year deal

All I knew is we had a list of about 4 managers including Hughes.

 

Has Reed come off of the golf course and signed a manager yet?....

 

I could see us going for Jokanovic if Fulham lose the play-offs. I think we were interested in him before getting MP, (which with hindsight looks like a missed opportunity) so it's not out of the question.

Bit of a gamble hoping Fulham lose though - if that is what we're doing. Doubt he'd leave should they get promoted.

edit - to be fair to you, we were in a bar when I was told this. But the guy works at the club, and is involved with all new signings. He could be wrong, but he's been spot on with everything so far.

Doesn't sit right with me. If Mark came in to put out a fire, thank him and pay up.
But keep him hanging while we flutter our eye lids at some other guy, wow, that's asking for trouble.

 

The phrase Simon Peach used was that the delay in announcing Hughes is purely down to “lawyers earning their money”.

 

Jokanovic is our first choice, Hughes is our back up

I know, but that appears to be untrue.

 

If Hughes is getting the job, he probably knows that already and he won’t care when we announce it as long as he has signed his papers. If we piss him about, that’s not right.

If it was the Jakonavic I’d like that, but I doubt it and Hughes has earned his go at it.
