Allardyce isn't coming back unless he gets no offers from the top two leagues I'm afraid, I just don't see it. I think promotion this season is very likely (not the formality some people seem top think though !) but it's a pipedream to think you'll get back to back promotions. 2-3 years in the championship to get rid of any dead weight and let young players bed in. Still be much better in future than the past few seasons, lots to look forward to but let's not burden a new manager with over expectation!
My gast would be well and truly flabbered if we even went after Allardyce let alone got him. I think we'll be several rungs below anyone like that. Someone young and ambitious would be my pick.

Doubt big Sam would drop to league one and would cost too much for a league one club. We're still paying for players we don't own and have players on silly money. We can't be stupid with money.

Bart if Sam is £6m pa that would be crazy surely? We need a manager who can build a team and do so within a budget I would have thought. If we pay the manager £6m there'll be no budget!
