HQ has 2 listed races, one with 3 runners the other with 5. 7 races in total with 55 runners! Newbury G3 with 5 runners. Pathetic.
Ivory is hopeful for Librisa, but is very very confident with Flaming Spear and he's been just as good at home as Librisa, and despite the lay off they feel it'll win tomorrow. 9/1 5 25 newbury. Anyway, see you soon hopefully, take care all it's been a pleasure
Quite an open looking Lockinge, run on fast ground for a change. Addeybb looked the proverbial Group horse in a handicap when taking the Lincoln, and duly proved it when hacking up in a Gp2 at Sandown. 6/1 is an attractive price for an improving animal in what is often the softest Gp1 of the season.
Agreed, he makes this a fascinating contest. I think the trip might be on the short side for Rhododendron so Addeybb looks the one to be on.
Chelsea’s Librisa Breeze 3.40 Newbury and Flaming Spear 5.25 Newbury 254/1 e/w double. Worth a couple quid
I fancy beat the bank, did nothing but improve with every race last year finishing off with a group 2.won first time out and as stated in the life, one race to many on champions day.
A boring wedding & an equally boring FA Cup Final massive odds on. Now thats the double I should of done!!!! Roll on next Saturday for the Champions League Final. YNWA
Heres hoping for an exciting cup final today and good luck to the royal couple getting married. Just the one bet for me today: Lockinge Stakes: Zonderland 33/1 each way 5 places with Skybet. Worth a bet with Skybet paying out 5 places. This horse has a good record on fast going which he will get today. Last season was beaten a nose by Lightning Spear on his seasonal debut after a year off the track. Lightning Spear was good enough to finish runner up in this race last year. Won a group 3 with a bit of style and I think will run a big race today for the inform Clive Cox especially on his ground. Only slight concern will be if he is fit enough to do himself justice but was being targeted at the race last season and at the price definitely worth a punt.
I m hoping it won't be a boring cup final. Predicting 1-1..I guess if we get 2 goals we ll be lucky..
Cheers for sharing Flaming Spear, Chelsea – but they have just withdrawn it and Librisa Breeze. I guess one of you and my mate will be unhappy later on as he is a Red Devil. I hope they do not park the bus... I thought about going to Newmarket today until I saw the entries. The first two races are extremely disappointing with just three in the opening Listed event and five in the Listed second race. There is obviously not enough money on offer – or more likely trainers are whinging because the watered ground is too quick. In a few weeks those same trainers will be complaining about lack of opportunities. (I wrote this last night and I see that the cleaners have had all the 11/2 on my bet of the day ) Fortunately, there is a decent turnout for the £31k sprint handicap where I am going with the old adage about top weights in three year old handicaps. Richard Hannon’s YALTA has been raised four pounds for his length second to Tribal Quest at the Guineas meeting and with Crowley at Newbury, Dane O’Neill has a good chance as deputy. Amongst a plethora of dangers are his stablemate Mayyasah on seasonal debut under Sean Levey, Fahey’s Showmethedough back to six furlongs and Tricksy Spirit from the in-form Mick Channon yard. Over at Newbury the Lockinge looks an open renewal primarily because of the shortage of recent form and no real superstars. I would definitely be against Limato even with the fast ground as I think he is simply not a miler. I backed Suedois when he won in the USA last October but have not heard anything for this race as I did that day; and he was fourth behind Lancaster Bomber (second) in the Breeders’ Cup Mile. The big question mark against Addeybb has to be the ground, which does not apply to the favourite RHODODENDRON, who comes here race fit with no ground issues but the concern that a mile might be short for her these days. I am hoping that because of that the bookies take her on as 7/2 is a little on the skinny side.
Quiet today lads. You all glued to the telly? Majestic Hero caught my eye in the 5.35 at Newmarket. 10/1 seems a more than air price for the 2016 winner of this race, who is 1lb lower than that and also won 2nd time out last season. Trainer possibly coming into a little bit of form and a good jock up there. Each way thieves bet?
Surprised that Beat the Bank is on the drift in the Lockinge and it slightly puts me off backing it. Got on Lightning Spear earlier at 20/1, but feel I need another against the field.
The horse to be in at a big price with 5 places is Zonderland as mentioned above ground and trip absolutely ideal..Question marks about quite a few of these.
