    I understand they're asking about £70m.

Almost as if it isn't really for sale after all...

It's high time people stopped accepting this lie. One of their worst acts in charge of the club is how they've made a game of pretending it's for sale while trying to convince us no one wants to buy it and therefore we're dependent on them. Classic dictator tactic.

It's about what I'd expect them to be looking for.

They'll look at the fact that the club has guaranteed income next season of £50m and as of 1st June the wage bill will be low, they'll also look at Grosicki, Bowen, Irvine, Henriksen etc as being worth some coin, hence the £70m.

I suspect that the asking price won't drop until January, at which point they'll have the final parachute payment and will be the proud owners of a business that's about to lose two thirds of its income and become loss making.

Which would encourage a sensible person to sell now at the best price you could get. Unless you didn’t really want to sell...

The Allams are in a win/win situation.

We'll have to wait for it to be confirmed but they would have made another huge profit this season. In a nutshell that reduces the indebtedness.
They know they have another big payment to come next season which I reckon will completely wipe out any debt that's left after this season.

They know that every penny that they have invested will be paid back - plus interest naturally - guaranteed.

They don't need to sell. They'll be thinking if some daft twat wants to pay whatever figure they're asking then so be it.

And if they're still here when the parachute money stops ?

    Be afraid, be very afraid.

I thought they'd already taken the parachute payment money out last season and anything received was going straight to the bank?

The best time was straight after promotion when there were 2 prices agreed with Peter Grieve. But then Ehab decided that he 'wasn't motivated to sell'

Parachute payments are over two seasons (3 if you spent more than one consecutive season in the prem prior to relegation).

It was reported a while back, but as those external loans didn't appear in the accounts, the story was probably wrong.

    https://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/hull-city-bank-41m-parachute-1578556

Hull City received a total of £41,571,016 in parachute payments during the 2017-18 season, official figures from the Premier League have confirmed.

Although the income is significantly down on the previous campaign when banking £97m for finishing 18th in the top-flight, the Tigers have continued to benefit from compensation paid to relegated clubs.

Along with Sunderland and Middlesbrough, who also fell into the Championship 12 months ago, City were handed a pay-out totalling over £41m.

That equates to 55 per cent of the central share paid to the 20 Premier League clubs and will be reduced to 45 per cent in 2018-19. Without winning promotion back to the top-flight next season, the Tigers will not benefit from any further payments in 2019-20.

The Premier League paid a total of £243m to Championship clubs, with Aston Villa and Norwich (£34m) and Cardiff, Fulham and QPR (£16.6m) also banking a windfall owing to time spent in the top-flight over recent years.

The latest figures revealed by the Premier League confirmed the staggering figures now being banked by its 20 clubs. A total of £2.42billion was paid out, with Manchester United and Manchester City both netting just under £150m. West Brom, who City will face next season, were handed cheques totalling £94.5m for finishing bottom of the pile.

It's not about the sale price is it, it's about profit. There's more money in it by staying another year than there is selling for a reasonable price somebody would pay now.

Also, does nobody else think Alan Nixon often just makes up bollocks

Exactly. So when we were supposed to be sold for 100 million. In a way why would you. Roll the dice safely for a pl go, didn't work but they got the cash. Slashed the wage bill got the parachute payments. Well over 100 million that.

They'll get more money this way. Business decision.

Three basic points for me here:
    1. The Allams neither need nor want to sell for financial reasons at this point in time - unless someone comes in with a daft offer in which case they'll trouser and scoot.
    2. Without the local profile afforded by "running" the club, Ehab goes back to being a relative nobody in daddies, now poorly performing, business. It's his ego that would be hurt by selling.
    3. I'm convinced that Ehab will remain in place as long as he can in order to inflict his vindictive agenda on what remaining 'vocal minority' still go next season. Some sort of small-dick compensation therapy presumably.

Are you saying that in your eyes his is a big one? If so just how do you actually know? Just what did go on in the protest camp outside Allam towers......
