From LUFCDATA Abel Hernández would be a superb signing for Leeds. He has averaged an impressive 0.56 goals per game ratio in the Championship (29 goals in 52 Champ appearances). Would be a huge coup to land the 27-year-old on a free and beat numerous clubs to his signature. #LUFC
He's from Uruguay! Would be a brilliant signing - we have others available down the 'free to a good home' aisle as well
So let me get this right. Doc forgot Becchio was an argie and Hernandez (Hull version) is from Uruguay? I siuspect chesh has hacked his account.
Seems Bet Victor has been fooled by a fake Phil Hay Twitter account, as you were, back to the Jerry McserieBshite
David Stockdale who has made it very clear he wants to play for Leeds even has his children wearing leeds outfits I say lets get him along with Hernandez and Huth would be a good gamble just what we need tough and a leader this would give us a proper spine to the team OK the outlay would be biggter wage bill biut transfer fees would be almost nil Marriot would cost but he would be inv aluable when we need a fresh striker
Good Morning Wj glad to see you on land again .When will you be cruising nextcan't believe you missed the trip to Burma! How is lady Margaret and finally what a lovely day for a wedding in May which I think is the best month in the year
Gavin White seems a good prospect and would not cost the earth although we would have to compete with Crawley yes that's how low we have come!Glad Yiadom has gone elsewhere and it seems to point out that PH will be receiving is leave card anytime soon along with his backroom staff
Has Tom Pearce signed his new contract yet At least we can now go to the tribunal and demand a hefty fee for him now he has been picked for England junior squad
Does anyone know if Orta was responsible for Boro signing Ashley Fletcher or was that part of Monk's spending spree of £35m on strikers? It seems Fletcher is now surplus to requirements and Pullis wants to send him out on loan, but to be frank he has struggled ever since Man Utd released him and he did little at West Ham before Boro bought him However there is yet another top striker coming available, as Derby need to sell because they are in trouble. Vydra is valued at £8m and is a proven scorer and match winner, so as an option if the Hernandez deal fails or we dont go for Prijavic. In fairness we would be a different team with Prijavic, Vydra or Hernandez but Fletcher would keep us where we are i fear and to be frank we already have a Fletcher in Tyler Roberts who we've yet to see but he is similar in style to Fletcher
I sometimes wonder if certain players are unable to cope with rejection. Unable as in professional suicide. Fletcher won't be the first prospect that has been eased out from a top team, then hit the helter skelter to the lower leagues, or worse still, Millwall (sorry, couldn't resist, Wally chums ). I think it's a huge gamble to pursue a kid in such a position. It takes enormous mental fortitude to get over such a setback, and I'm not sure that many of them have it (lets face it, it's often mental rather than physical reasons that they're rejected in the first place). I'm so glad we didn't sign him, & hope we're suitably wary when eyeing up similar rejects..
Anyone know anything about the Scottish midfielder McGinn who was nominated for Premiership player of the season, wanted by Rangers and Celtic to name 2 clubs. It seems we are interested. Also the Rob Greene things reared its head again as well as Stockdale and it seems Felix is wanted back on the continent. nyone know anything about a Liverpool kid who scores for fun called Wilson, well it seems Leeds want to loan him and so too do rangers as Gerrard is there. Liverpool want a £250k loan fee plus penalties if he doesnt play agreed number of games. Usual mcBurnie stories again And the NI kid Whyte seems to be around again
Didn’t want to stay and fight for his place and hasn’t played for a year, definitely no to greene. Stockdale I’d take.
Decisions to be made about our loaned out players and the funny thing for me is that our season collapsed because of our central midfield yet we have 3 central midfielders out on loan? For me Coyle comes back and goes straight into challenging Ayling for the RB slot, which could see Beradi gone or specialising at LB if Pearce moves on. Murphy, would he have been better than Phillips or O’Kane, I believe O’Kane had a season to forget after a great start. Murphy was touted as the best thing for years and to be fair came close to being Burtons man of the season. Is he good enough to get back in? No. Ideguchi who the hell knows, but if he makes the Jap squad and shows what he can do I think he has to play with Forshaw but right now I think he goes Klich an enigma as nobody has really seen him or given him the benefit of the doubt. I think he wont be back even though he says he wants to come back and show what he can do. He has options in Holland with Utrecht, Twente and 2 other clubs, plus a couple of German clubs but Polish clubs are chasing him too. Anntonson I hoped would live up to his billing but Monk didnt fancy him and I watched him in pre season last year getting loads of chances from Thomas to show us. He was brilliant at getting into the right place to get the ball but skewed every chance he got. I think it was then on the cards that we needed a striker and Marcus was sent out on loan. He was Blackburns top scorer with 8 at one stage but was overhauled by Brad Dack then Marcus got injured and was out for ages but when he got back he couldnt score again and Dack went on to score shed loads as well as another player. So Marcus wasnt really first choice in League 1 and I know we had garbage up front but is Marcus the answer I dont think so.
