When your wingbacks are Walker/Trippier and Rose/Young it can still make 5 at the back quite attacking. Especially with the marauding Harold Maguire surging forward.
I would have had him over Jones as well. Sessegnon offers more to the replacements than Lallana for me, as does Shelvey over Livermore.
Funny that after all the talk about Hart, not only didn't he make the squad, he didn't make the standby list either. He'll getting plenty of 'England No.5' chants next season.
Is that the same Harry McGuire that Ehab sold for £10 mill? Well done Dick head! Good thing we are the best run football club around.
As with Robbo, I glad we sold them for way less than we should've, because it meant the Egyptian cockgobbler got less cash to pocket.
Not at the time it wasn't, it was still too cheap, he should have gone for £25m, but he was in his last year and it's not as far out as Robbo was. At least we sold Clucas for twice what he was worth, to balance it our a bit.
We have goals in that squad from the strikers and wide players, I think we are fairly sound defensively . We just look very weak in centre midfield
Agree but when we've been strong there with the likes of Hoddle, Scholes, Lampard, Gerrard etc at world cup's we've done **** all.
Shame for Tarkowski who seems to have been in better form than Cahill. Pleased Loftus Cheek is in and agree about Sessegnon. This will go down like a lead balloon, but if I'd have been Southgate I'd have been on the phone to the versatile James Milner to get him out of retirement over Delph. And of course delighted for Harry Maguire. Be surprised if he still plays for Lester next season.
For anyone looking for more tenuous City connections with the England squad, Loftus Cheek is the half brother of Leon Cort.
