<laugh> Actually bob I liked CB. It was sad when he left but I believe he would get a bit nasty to some. Always liked his Defoe and Thursday rumour. :emoticon-0148-yes:

I know Conte failed miserably this season but l'd force myself to like him, if appointed.

Seriously though, with no appointment so far, it would seem the club may be looking for someone half decent instead of appointing a plodder or lap-dog, just for the sake of it.

Whoever it will be, we can only hope we get a livewire who hits the ground running.

    Further more ...............

Sam Allardyce expected to leave Everton in next 48 hours as owner Farhad Moshiri jets in for face-to-face talks with Marco Silva lying in wait..........

Could it be that TF is waiting to see if Big Sam or Moyes are punted?

Not that I would want him by the way.

Just watched BBC south news. Arry was on saying he would love another crack at managing and would love to build a new team. Perhaps he is throwing his hat in our ring!

    Arry anyone??????

I hope I have previously made my opinions about 'Arry quite clear.
The man a) must have an ego the size of the Albert Hall and b) be stupid enough to believe his own hype

Oh and btw he also said that even though he is 71 he is as fit as a fiddle, obviously his knees have miraclously recovered...(wish mine would)

To be honest, this really hasn't gone on for long. They only announced Ollie leaving the other day and it's not even in the middle of the season. I think the amount of time taken to announce a replacement isn't unusual or suspicious at the moment.

And the McClaren rumours are probably true but they just need to thrash out the terms and conditions. With that said, it's also not impossible that they don't come to a mutual agreement and QPR look elsewhere.

But, essentially, there's absolutely no need for the panic button for a while.

    Cheers awjm,
    I'm just getting itchy feet.
Every time we get a new manager, I get a new sense of enthusiasm and hope for our team.
Surely the numbers will eventually stack up.

I don't think Big Tone will ever escape the mentality of having big dreams he doesn't actually know how to achieve in football. How many times has he talked about stability? It's all bullshit at the end of the day. He hired Ollie with the long term mentality and felt like he'd picked the right man.

After a full season, Holloway wasn't perfect but he made some improvements, leaving us a lot more points further away from relegation this year than last season. Improved the football. Improved the vibe of the club. Tony has a big dream one night and manager is gone.

I know it was different times and different players but when Luigi Do Canio left he said he'd like to come back and complete unfinished business.

We played some nice footie under him but suspect his success / win rates not that great.

Maybe he's learned some English by now? ;)

But I don't think he'd be a step up, especially now. I think the championship is harder than back then. I also suspect he had a bit of the rub of the green at the time, too.

Could it be that TF has become impatient and now wants to appoint a proven manager with a track record of getting teams promoted to the PL.
    Wouldn't surprise me.
As a club, we seem to lurch from sane to insanity at the drop of a hat.
Spend the money, stop spending the money ................ spend nothing, now put the foot down and go hell for leather.
If our team was a rollercoaster in a theme park, it would be a show stopper.
