Player Ratings - Fulham

Can't talk specifically as I haven't seen the game, but I'm inclined to agree with this. The squad has overperformed in the first three games and the defence are very well marshalled, the two centre halves weren't the most positionally aware before his arrival and the full backs aren't the best, yet we've only conceded one goal in three games. Pardew deserves some credit.

 

Offtopic but doesnt deserve a thread: How are people pronouncing Haris Vučkić? According to those accents on the letters it should be pronounced Vuch-kits but most are saying Vookitch so I have no idea which is correct.

 

Mine: -

Krul 9 - just caught out at the end, fell short of a perfect 10

Simpson 7.5 - actually running at players and finally had a winger who covered him defensively
Taylor 9 - continuing a brilliant partnership with Colo
Colo 9 - solid as ever
Raylor 7 - very difficult for him and Jonas to play together as neither is left footed, overlaps are pointless but a good show

Obertan 7 - very energetic and did a good job covering Simpson, first player we've had to do that
Cabaye 8 - grew into the game and think he and Tiote will still be a very nice partnership
Tiote 7 - better, let's see how he does after Ramadan
Jonas 7 - good game again, offering less support to Raylor as he gets used to the LB role

Best 8 - another reminder he can pop up with goals, showed his instinct again
Lover 4 - a lot of running but went missing again and looked like he didnt know where he was supposed to play

Ba 7 - better, good little assist for Best's 2nd
Vuckic n/a - one good run then hand/finger injury
Smith - even managed to get booked

 

Every commentator is different as well haha. I've been saying Vook-ich.

 

Harsh on Pardew as well, Ba probably wasnt up to starting so Lover was the only mistake in the line up (and to be fair, him and Best have looked decent together in the past).

 

Yeah I have been saying that too but I've only just paid attention to the accents now which seem to show its Vutch-Kits. Ah well, I'll go with Vook-itch otherwise I'd have to explain why I think I'm not an idiot every time I say haha.

 

I say Vookitch as well, I don't care how it's meant to be said, it's such a bloody mouthful to say it properly.

 

I pronounce it Voosh-kitch, but each to their own I guess.

 

Bit silly that people are having a dig at Pardew? we won against a decent team today and have taken 7 points from our first 3 games.

Credit to Pardew for teaching Best the offside rule during half-time as I think he wouldve set a record otherwise. I quite like Simpson but today and on Thursday, he has been woeful! Some of the football we played at times was beautiful to watch, with Cabaye, Tiote and Colo swapping passes regularly.

 

Tend to use Vook-ich myself.

Regards Pards putting Smithy on, maybe he was just putting him in the shop window hoping to get a buyer, or at least somebody to take him off our hands for free.
