Sorry for the pun! O'Shea wants to stay: https://www.shieldsgazette.com/spor...nfirms-he-wants-to-stay-on-wearside-1-9162297 I personally think that he'd be a good one to have, particularly with the youngsters, but I know that he's heavily criticised.
Hed be very decent in League 1 but I'm sick of seeing his name on our team sheet followed by a defeat so far that reason I'd say bye bye
https://www.safc.com/news/team-news/2018/may/oshea-on-mumba If he stays, it should be in a mainly coaching role, and not a playing one.
I think him staying is taking the easy option for the player, it's time imo to cut adrift a whole draft of experienced players like O'Shea, Cattermole, Jones etc and bring in young physical defenders/midfielders as next season isn't going to be pretty to watch. We've got a decent group of youngsters just need to add some steel and of course a decent goalkeeper.(No pun intended).
He'll probably make a good manager some day but I've been wanting him gone for years and another relegation with him at the heart of the defence hasn't changed my mind. Him and Cattermole both need moving on. Too weak, too slow and too much influence.
No, too slow isn't just too slow for the Premier League, it's too slow for professional football. If we're finally going to start learning from our mistakes he has to go.I'll never forget him being the leader of a coup under PDC, we don't need characters like that at the club. Eh, a leader who is a sackless coward who'll go over peoples heads like a ****ing snide. Nope, **** player, **** attitude, horrible person, **** off.
No for me. Two relegations with dreadful defensive displays makes me think that even the knowledge and experience he surely gained at Man U , is of no use , or he is incapable of passing it on
Got to go for me, along with Cattermole and Jones, if we are going to move forward we need to build a new team around the youngsters, give them a chance to bond. We don't need ageing players who were never that good anyway.
Not sure why you think that but 8 can only speak as I find. Was cracking with me and my lad at a kids tournament last year. He wasn’t there on SAFC duty just there but he was lovely
I always think that he gets a lot of undeserving stick from some of our fans, he's not great but is a lot better than some will give him credit for and he strikes me as a good pro not someone with a terrible attitude. But i think its time for us to move on from the current established players and start a fresh, o'sheas deficiencies have been masively exposed over the last couple of years so keeping him for another year makes no sense to me.
U never saw him hiding behind an injury to avoid selection. He always fronted up for us so fair play to him The sad reality is that is a failure of Safc that he should be considered to be a first team player I wish him well but it’s time to move on
hands up those that think he hasn't stole a living for years with us..........thought not tara ya ****er pleased to see the back of the useless twat.
I explained why, going over people's heads to grass is a reflection of his character. I'm sure he was lovely to you, what being club captain meaning everytime he was out the house he had to be an ambassador to the club. I bet he was sound with every member of the public he encountered. We got a glimpse of his true colors years ago and he's been top dog for in the dressing room ever since and the character of players in that time has been rotten too. Plenty to gage him being a dickhead on. Doesn't even have the interest to stay switched on most games. Attitude stinks, clear nob as far as I can see.
